That's about 8 miles or so from me. Heck, last night I saw the motion sensor light come on and looked out the front door to see a big buck walking about 6 feet off of our front porch. They eat all of our shrubs! On a related note, the deer was so big they had to use a toyOTA to haul it home... |

EXCellent......
|
||||
Did you hear about it or not? Thats about all the weight a TOYota can handle!! |
||||
At least Toyota's make theirs IN America, not imports from Canada and Mexico... |
||||
Ummm...the real reason they used a Toyota is because it's the one that started. lol! |

Some new car news....
First, the top sellers so far for 2009. Only 4 American cars. I only count three of them because the Pontiac G8 won't be around much longer. http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_content... It also says that Hyundai and Subaru are the only car companies to increase sales this year. Must be doing something right. Then there is this article on reliability. Asian (or Japinieeesee in Frank speak) still top the pack. Ford, however is fairing well. http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_content... How come neither of the US automakers that took the bailout are on the list, yet the one who plugged along on it's own is? Only 21 of 48 GM models scored average or better in reliability? WTF!!! |

Thats great stuff, Dude......thanx...

Awesome...I own one of each. |

Yeah, we used to have one of each, but now are an all Subaru household. Their are times when I miss my Sonata, such as road trips with more than two people where the room and comfort are plus. The Outback has plenty of room, but my Impreza, not so much.
I have a feeling though that in another month or so when the snow falls, I will forget all about the positives of my Hyundai.

Just wanted to chime in on the "idiot driver" part of the discussion. Here is a sample of what is far too commom here in the Detroit area.
1. Roads that go from two lanes to one each way, usually after an intersection. There are several places where the sign to merge is a few hundred feet before the intersection. Yet there is always some moron who pulls up next to you and tries to get over at the last second. 2. Similar to above, but with construction. Sign says "RT. LANE CLOSED 2 MILES". So the good drivers get over, yet there are the ones that race up the "open" lane and then try to duck in. I don't let those people in. 3. Places where you can turn right or left from two lanes side by side. I guess it is really hard to negotiate a turn and stay in your lane, because people have to cross into the next lane and get mad when you're there. When I say cross, I mean i.e. right turn, outside lane car turns wide enough to end up in the inside lane, almost hits person turning from inside lane and is then PO'ed because they almost caused an accident. 4. Parking. People here can't park worth shit. Most are crooked or in two spots. If you don't want someone to park next to you, park way the hell out at the end of the lot. |

With my long commute (1 hour), I must confess I'm guilty of #2 occasionally, but I sit back and use the "lion vs. lamb" technique. I sit back and look for the people that snooze or leave a big gap. I won't go to the end and expect to get in. I'm not THAT much of a jerk! |

How about Indiana? |
||||
Was it between that or a Nissan? |
||||
??? Is this what you meant? Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, Inc.(TMMI) is an automobile manufacturing factory in Princeton, Indiana, USA. It is part of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TEMA), owned by Toyota Motor Company of Japan. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana was built in 1996 in order to begin production of a full-size pickup truck solely for the U.S. Market. |

1 I saw a Chevy truck on the side of the road with an orange "tow me" sticker on the drivers side window. Heartbeat of America? Not anymore!! Death by lack of quality. |
