trust me, not even the employees are aware of the full scope of what is going on. The owners don't even have the respect for their loyal employees to tell them anything. What they do know they have heard as rumors just like everyone else has. I should know, I am married to one of those employees! But it's not hard to figure it out when the locksmith is sitting outside waiting for everyone to leave.

Sorry to hear that the employees had to go thru this. However, poetic justice that KH and his pathetic wife just lost their free ride and will have to foot their own bills. LMAO.

what are your husbands initials? I was laid off from Kenowa 2 1/2 years ago, as things started to slow down for the building trade. At the time I thought it sucked, but it happened right when a position opened up at my wifes work that i stepped right into.

As a former employee that was "unkindly" escorted out the door last Thursday, there is still no resolve to the issue. Six days later there has been very little communication by the owners. "Temporarily closed, be back on Monday" obviously doesn't mean a thing. We're pretty much being left in the dark. There have been empty promises of possibly opening the doors again, but I'm not holding my breath. This just holds true to the decieving lies we've been given since Kenowa filed for Chapter 11 back in November. A total lack of respect and communication...typical Kenowa Lumber business!!!!

That's it?? 35 to 40 words and WOOD is passing this off as a news story? What if the sign said, "GONE FISHIN', SEEYA ON MONDAY"? Would it still qualify?
That is some riveting, edgy journalism. Haven't seen the likes of this since Edward R. Murrow hung up his microphone. Years ago there was an old saying in the news business; "If your Mom says she loves you, check it out before you go to press!"
Now you can hang a paper sign in the window and the "news" will take it from there.

Keep digging for the facts, WOOD!

Are you by chance a contractor? I am myself who also had an account with Kenowa Lumber. No memo, email, or phone call. Stopped in the first of August to make a payment, and that was the first I knew of it.
Now what?
An explanation is the least they could do for the customers, and employees.

If so, what other info is available? And who to contact for ongoing business relations?

I myself heard that they are currently involved in a Federal investigation. This is something I heard, not necessarily true. Information is not given out to the public, and they are ordered not to if the investigation is true. To all that post on here about the "facts", are either affiliated with Kenowa, or they are not facts. To all that post BS on here, I assume you may be one of the few that didn't pay your bill to Kenowa, or are just plain ignorant. The fact is this is a much larger picture than the narrow minded posters can see.

This was a family owned business and many more could end up the same way. Like someone else posted about just going to Home Depot instead. Nice to post your intelligence. Just wait until these "1-800"companies ,(Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.), raise the prices on the merchandise you are buying from them just because they know you need it, and can't buy it anywhere else.(Gas prices ring a bell?)
This is different times and things are going to get a lot worse. I could be wrong, but I also have been planning for the worst the last 6yrs, so far I have been right. JMO: folks.
