What concerns me the most was the news broadcast. As she is talking with reporters a young boy ( i would guess around three) was playing right next to the road behind her, while she was getting her five minutes of fame. I am thankful that he didnt run out into the road and get hit while her back was turned.

I think he learned a very valuable lesson from this. Wrong decisions and actions come with consequences.
Lets hope so and that all of this works out for the best ..

He will learn his mother's need for attention has no limits. He learns he is 2nd place to her acting out.

okay enough is enough! Like I said before, lets let this go, the ship has sailed! Let this family get back to normal. THe mother did what she thought was best. Both mother and child love each other and have a good relationship! CPS doesnt' need to get involved! THERE IS NO NEGLECT AND NO ABUSE! END THIS NOW! My goodness!

I think this is horrible. Instead of bothering herself to find out WHY he was lying to her, and helping him get over it, she tries to hurt him and break his spirit. It's kind of lazy and mean if you ask me.

it wasn't that close to the road
she had a hand on him notice she was distracted.

You guys love to make her look awful.
Keep on working at that.
She's taking care of her kids, just like you guys should be. half of you should be off watching your kids instead of posting.

But keep ridiculing the parents who're taking an active role in their childrens lives, and ignoring the ones who're off doing crack and leaving their kids home alone all the time.

Soon this world will be so backwards it's unreal. and the parents who're trying to correct and help their kids will be in jail for making their kid stand on a corner (while the parent watches them) while the people who rape their children roam free.

Then i'm sure you'll still keep complaining.

I just hope that parents like rebecca wont back down and be afraid to discipline their kids because of you idiots.

While they were DISCUSSING what to put on the sign she asked him why he lied...
his response...because i don't think you'll find out!

trying to see what he can get away with, obviously not lying and he knows that now!

I saw Brandon yesterday and he was fine and happy.

The kids at school didn't tease him.
One teacher made something of it...which was poor choice on their part.
but no one teased him.
It's over.

Oddly enough you seem to know more than in the story...AND WAHT PLANET ARE YOU ON THINKING THE KIDS DID NOT TEASE THE BOY? Yeah all his 13 year old classmates agreed with the mother and decided it was best not to say anything....Umm, when you get back to earth maybe you should spend time with a couple 13 year olds....

I am friends of the family you idiot.
I talked to Brandon one on one yesterday, he told me
the only person who said anything was a teacher.
THE KIDS DIDN'T TEASE HIM!

Holy crap..heaven forbid they've got more important things to worry about or they didn't even see it.
How many 13 yr olds do you think watch the news?
Maybe YOU should spend some more time with 13yr olds if you think they're all going to watch the news.

Although I fully support Mom's tactic here...I too noticed the little one running around in the background. That bothered me a bit. Val, watch the video again and you'll see it.

Oh Worthy Rob, your cynical attitude may have worked well with your crack addicted kiddos but I am afraid you are falling way short of reality on this one. No one, even rval2, has spent more time on this forum being a jerk than you have. It's like I told the mom in my post - Some parents are not the ones that I would trust to give me good guidance on parenting. You are one of them.

You clearly aren't going to turn the tide on all of us posters that you find to be complete idiots at parenting so please leave us alone. You are starting to embarass yourself and it's plugging up the board.

After 30 teenagers I have a feeling I am a better judge of teen behaviors than you are. The kids will be teasing him...Just this morning I saw a kid in the store who looks a lot like him and got me wondering how often he walks around wondering who knows and does't....

Your name calling above all shows what you are. It is impossible to judge what the long term impact of this stunt will be, yet you are already the self appointed expert.

Way to go Rebecca.

Well I doubt you will abuse me into submisson.....Good try though, just your abusive tactics make it clear it is probably best not to listen to you. I really don't need to say a thing.
