Jena is Any Small Town in the South

Its about time black people said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Jena is no different than Paris Texas and most small towns in the South, full of ignorance, racists....and denial. Hanging a noose from a tree in protest of "blacks sitting on the white side" is a HATE crime and should have been treated as such. Excuses are made for whites and things blacks do are blown out of proportion. A sneaker is NOT a deadly weapon and the white student was NOT almost beaten to death. His photo proved that he had no more than the makings of a black eye. This problem should have been handled when black students first complained and it wouldn't have gotten out of hand. Now Jena is just like Paris Texas....the ignorance and racism is exposed for the entire nation to see.

your so true in the town of Winnfield is just as bad if not worse. a white boy was shooting at a black boy on our street the other day. and they only charged him with fireing a fire arm in city limits . However if on the other foot the black guy would have got two count of attempted murder because it was two guys he was shooting at in a car in the bright day light . But his family has a so call name and money. you know thats not right someone kid could have been shot

You have it in reverse...you blacks are the ones that are constantly making excuses for the way you behave. At the top of the list is "it's all the white man's fault." And what is being blown out of proportion is you calling a piece of rope on a tree a "hate crime." You think that white kids putting a piece of rope on a tree deserve to go to prison, but let's let these nice black boys off the hook for beating someone. I've been reading news reports from all over the country of blacks ganging up on one white and beating them, and you never hear a peep from blacks about these assaults. But when six blacks are put in jail for beating a white, twenty thousand blacks make picket signs and demonstrate in Jena, screaming "injustice" and "racism." Being black does not entitle you to get special treatment from the justice system. These six hoodlums deserve to be punished for what they did.
