The Jemez Pueblo needs to build the casino on their existing land along NM 550. I would stop by most likely when I travel to Farmington

THE JEMEZ PUEBLO SHOULD STAY IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO WHERE THEY BELONG THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS IN SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO. SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO IS NOT EVEN PART OF THEIR ABARIGINAL HOME LANDS. THEY ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS AREA. IF THEY WANT A CASINO SO BAD TO HELP OUT THEIR TRIBE TEN IT NEEDS TO BE WITH IN DRIVING DISTANCE TO PROVIDE JOBS FOR THEIR TRIBAL MEMBERS. THEIR ARE SEVERAL OTHER LOCATIONS WHICH IS BETTER SUITED FOR THEM. IF THEIR AFRAID OF COMPETITION THEN MAYBE THEY NEED TO WORK ON THEIR HOSPITALITY SKILLS BETTER.

If they are going that far, why not Los Angeles? The closest legitimate tribal land to Anthony is in El Paso's lower valley. The BIA is correct to deny this. They would probably have allowed it even in Albuquerque, as it is somewhat within driving distance of the pueblo. My contention is that outsider consultants are really making the money in this, leaving the regular tribal members out of the picture.

Aproximate 95% of tribal memebers are not knowledgeable of the casino situation. There are only a handful of tribal members and a lot of hungry greety non tribal members for the casino. There has been no tribal community meetings to discuss the negative inpact it will create at the present village of jemez pueblo.I think the other 4% are the yes sir tribal members. It's a highway robbery.Jemez tribal members are not high speed people. The elders always say dont't loose our heritage culture and our language..Imagine that! My few cents input.

Actually, i think its best that the pueblo does not get a casino, because we can maintain our traditional lifestlyes and not lose our traditional ways of living. So I guess its really a good thing for the pueblo. Thanks

Native American casinos are raking in hundreds of millions of dollars yet the non-natives still have to support the Natives thru our taxes because what theirs is theirs and what is ours is still theirs!

Not all native casinos are "raking in hundreds of millions of dollars". Part of your taxes go to support the Tribes & Tribal members so you you can have a place to live, a place to work, and have the life that you have- and we're still getting the short end of the deal.

Do like it? Good, neither do we. Maybe if the government lived up to it's end of the bargain things would be better for us instead of being on the worst end of any statistic you can come up with.
