Feds reject Jemez Pueblo plan for Anthony casino

Full story: El Paso Times

That's ridiculous, it'll be in NM, why are the Feds treating the Pueblo as if they are little children and need to have their tribe physically near it? Half the landlords in ABQ are absentee, don't even live in the state, the Feds don't stop them!

Most of the Indian Casinos are not run by Indians anyway. The only drawback is that the "jobs" will be a long way from the Pueblo so there may not be as many Jemez people working there.

NM needs less Casino's, not more. Those built should be on tribal lands, not spread about the state like this proposal was. Not my problem the Abq/SF region is saturated with various tribal casino's - oh well!

We know it's not your problem, cuz you don't control it. You don't do much of anything.

Free market monkey boy. If the Feds don't like it, the market-not them-will take care of it. The hand of the market will do it, the Feds don't need to irritate the pueblos, just get out of their way, like Rick Perry says. Think of all the employment they are destroying potentially, cuz know-nothings like you are trying to control private investment.
