We have been fighting for the Casino for years. The same amount of years that Stan Fulton (Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino) has been opposing it. People should understand that most of the horses that run at Sunland racetrack are from out of town which is where the purses will be going as soon as the races are won by outsiders. I do not gamble on horse races or play the slots but my wife likes them so a take a trip to Ruidoso (Mescalero) about every two weeks.
A casino in Anthony would cut my gas expense greatly. At least for us Sunland Casino is a no-no.

free markets are the way. Open it up for competition and all will benefit..
Unless you want to be a czar and rule the only game in town? Stan? or is it really Stalin?

Who cares what these two groups think. The tribe has no ancestry claim to the area. If any tribe has a claim it would be the Tigua's. This is about none Indian fat cat's from Santa Fe wanting to strip the pockets of southern New Mexico residents. I say screw the bastards.

Check this link for an Iowa study that shows that once a casino moves into a community, economic growth stops. If you own a main street business, a casino in your community is the last thing you should support.

The casino isn't responsible. People who can't control their behavior and make moronic choices is to blame. That is like blaming a car for speeding and not the driver.

open one in Anthony..there's not enough crime there already..one more cashcow for scummy thugs and gang members who don't have any gumption to get a real job..they'll just feed off the public some more! They need to change the town name to Loserville.

The owners of the Sunland Park Casino should stop complaining about losing their grip on somewhat of a monopoly on gambling in this region. I need my Poker!!
