Les could have done great, yet he chose to create unnecessiary problems in Jellico instead of solving the ones that really need solving! Its not too late Les, pull this town together instead of breaking it up!!

You are so right! He needs to focus on the real issues and stop causing so many problems for Jellico and its citizens! Toss his annex ideas out the window and deal with what is important within the city limits that he is already in charge of! And he and his council should keep in mind that its us (we the people) that they work for, and we decide if they keep their jobs or not based on their performance and actions!

At the time of the election, in my opinion and I stress my opinion, Les was the only candidate that was remotely qualified to be Mayor so I voted for him. Big Mistake!!! The Mayor will do the things he wants to do and will do them his way. His own words were, "I am elected for four years and I will do things the way I want to, I don't care how the people feel or what they say"

He is spending money as though the city has money to spend which it doesn't. When Mayor Stiers leaves the office (if he makes the four years) Jellico will have the largest amount of debt in the city's history without the means to pay that debt.

We are up the creek without a paddle (in my opinion).

You reap what you soe. You elected him, shut up and take it in the rear like you deserve. If you didn't vote for him remind those who did that they need to vote with their heads and not their hearts. Everybody makes mistakes. Fools make the same mistake twice.

You are correct. I am reaping what I soed and the harvest isn't good. I admit that I was wrong and I made a BIG mistake. I am truly sorry. Fool me once, shame on you but fool me twice, shame on me. Won't happen again.

Actually it should have been sown not sewed (as with needle and thread). We reap what we sow. If you are going to correct somebody, be sure you are accurate.

agree josy.
mayor les has applied for tons of grants and now he's getting messages from the state there "IS NO GRANTS" coming. Here the city is in debt for a church that's un-useable and no grant to fix it up. the Taylor building is in dire need of repair and we expect someone to come in and buy the place for a factory to put the citizens to work. the mayor is so full of himself and won't listen to anyone who suggests how to fix or repair a much needed project. he only is interested in tearing the whole city department in town apart and that is the only thing he has succeeded with. he's done a great job with in house work. don't know how much more the employees there can take of him yet he hands them out a big bonus "that the citizens are paying for" and said the council didn't give them one last year. the council is not the ones paying for the big christmas bonus its the citizens. no wonder the people are afraid to be annexed, it's what they have to dish out because of a pea brain mayor who does nothing but excites himself with his so called achievements. you citizens are needing to get rid of this so call man before there is no city of jellico. the employees recognize it but can do anything for fear of retaliation. somebody better get a handle on it. sorry to inform the public of his distruction. just thought you ought to know.

Speak for yourself asshole! The mayor is fair to us employees and treats us right. He works long hours trying to make things better for our city. He is a smart man and knows how to get things done. He treats us right and we do a good job for him. The bonus didn't cost you anything so keep your trap shut!

If the taxpayers of the city didn't pay for the bonus you received then who did! It sure didn't come out of Mayor Les's pocket.
Evidently your not an employee or you would have or should have known that. Although there are a couple dunce's that work for the city.

I concur with what you said here. The citizens will show them quickly next election if they have done a good job or not!! Bet 80% won't be elected again.

Why do people put up with his lying ass. Run him out of town and put Miss Johnson in his place.I don't know now he keeps from breaking his arm he pats himself on his on back all the time. I have never seen a bigger jerk in by life. He has 90% of the people mad at him. How can a Mayor spend money like he has without Council approvel. Alvin you need to stand up to him and send his ass down the road. You said you was going to do something about him spending that money on the blacktop, You have not said anything else about it. Put a stop to him doing whatever he wants to. IT"S YOUR JOB.
