If she had sticky fingers looks like the reports that she submitted to the board, that the council approved at every meeting would have shown up a long time ago. She has worked in that position (RECORDER) for eleven years and wasn't hired as a financial officer.
The city at the time she was hired had a city administrator!!
Why all of a sudden for the past two years, since ole Les has been mayor that she put some stickum on her fingers?
From my prospective the mayor used her for his charades and when things started getting hot he decides to kick her to the curb.
If she hadn't written her resignation memo to show she was resigning, he would have fired her and by the way the council has not accepted her resignation yet!!
Then he opens a public forum in front of officials from the state comptrollers office along with the community and Ms Douglas into the ground more or less. This was to get his message out before things hit the papers.
In my opinion he set himself and the city to be leveled with a gigantic lawsuit when he had the police escort a lady out of the room for disagreeing with him on the issue of Linda.
Along with the already ouster suit against ONLY HIM, he has left the city (US) wide open for more financial burdens due to lawsuits that may be coming his way.
The lady that was escorted out of the room is no dummy and as this was a public meeting (workshop) and discussion for anyone to have a say, even if he didn't like what he heard. Very professional wouldn't you say?

I'm not so sure the city administrator was there when she was hired, I thought the Mayor and Alderman had hired her, I could be wrong on that. Frankly, you can't blame the mayor for her allowing herself to be allegedly used she chose that path. It seems as though the only thing consistent has been people that are put in those positions Mayor, Alderman, City Recorders etc. that are not qualified. Being in those positions requires more than meeting once a month and talking about whatever the city recorder puts on the agenda. Its about knowing your city and educating yourself to do what you have been elected to do efficiently.
