Once an AUTHORITY gets its foot in the door and takes a bigger bite of the pie there is no backing out.

Use the St. Marys Hospital Authority as an example. The elected officials/tax payers are held hostage to these power grabbers and a series of law suits always follow.

Camden County has a caste system. Home owning property tax payers are at the bottom. GOBs appointed to un-elected boards, committees and authorities are at the top. Elected officials are in the middle.

Representative government my arse. How can you have representative government when only 10 percent of the fools in this county vote.

Our local elected government commissioners and council members are nothing but yes men to un-elected boards, committees and authorities.

Maybe that is why the ran for elected office in the first place to represent special interest.

Only about 0 percent are permanent residents; the rest are Navy or supporting services. They now that they'll be gone as soon as their service obligation is up. Their world is within the confines of the base with a few exceptions.

Exactly right.

I retired Navy twenty years ago and can count on two fingers people I served with that were able to stay. The same names that were employed by local government and the BOE before the base are still listed on the payroll. Never been a Navy town but a transient duty station.

Real estate cartel dominated local government scheme together on how best to exploit property tax paying homeowners.

It's a theme park, it's a space port; no wait it's just more bullshit fed to the masses to justify property tax hikes to pay for bailouts to real estate cartel GOBs.

When demand was high and we lived high on the hog we did not share the wealth with the community. No jobs no tax relieve.

Now that the demand has evaporated we will look inward to the community in the hope a few of us will survive. Bringing in jobs is propaganda bullshit. That is not our line of work. Moving your money between us is.

The Real Estate Cartel Ponzi scheme has already busted. Now the Real Estate Cartel Ponzi schemers are scheming on how to suck the last drops of blood out of the unlucky home owners left owning homes in Camden County. Look for the Real Estate Cartel's friends and accomplices on county commission and city councils to raise property tax real soon.

The Real Estate Cartel dominated local governments will bail out the developers and land speculators who have spent their previously ill gotten profits and are coming for more of your hard earned tax revenue.

Notice how property tax assessments are being manipulated to squeeze property tax revenue out of those without a voice in local government. Look for a lack of uniformity and wide disparity in assessed valuations for similar properties. Look for the legally dictated guideline "fair market value" to be ignored to reward family and friends and punish political enemies. These illegalities and irregularities are acquiesced to by the Real Estate Cartel dominated local governments.
