Jekyll Island may crack down on roaming pets
The Jekyll Island Authority is looking at a proposal that would require people to exercise greater control of their pets.

Cracking down on roaming thieves and dope-heads hanging out at the picnic areas at night would be a better bet. Leave the mutts alone for now.

If a dog or cat is roaming free in a neighborhood, it's no longer a pet but a nuisance. Uncaring people that don't keep their animals contained away from harm by cars and neighbors fed up with their presence shouldn't be allowed to own them in the first place. Spay,neuter, and contain your "pets".
