Part 12 Guy Heinze Jr.

This case highlights the problems with the jury system, the adversarial justice system, and possibly with trying complex, murder cases at the state level. If the documentary showed the case fairly there was basically no evidence for conviction, no motive, and absolutely no idea how one person could kill 8 people without any being restrained or with the murderer showing practically nil sign of involvement on his person or clothes (yet blood all over every part of the house). Did anyone see the graded list of decision making which put 'put beyond responsible doubt' as one of about 20 other options? How on earth did the jury come to this conclusion? They were clearly incapable weighing evidence, or seeing there was NO evidence at all to convict, or were unduly influenced by jury members confident they just 'know' who is guilty. Such people aren't hard to find of course 'know it alls' are EVERYWHERE! And logic isn't part of their thinking. If this is what can come from Western justice then let's get rid of it. Whoever really killed those eight people just got away with murder.

The documentary was not fair. Did you really expect it to be when the UK doesn't believe in the death penalty? They are always trying to poo poo our cases over here. I have no idea why because Americans sure don't care one bit about cases tried in the UK. If one kept up with all of the trial as it was happening they would know there was plenty of evidence to convict him. He knew it too, and that is why he rushed at the chance to save his pathetic life.

His case will not be overturned on appeal. That is just wishful thinking by the Heinz fan club and his fan club isn't even here in the states either. Now that's a hoot.

You are both arrogant and dumb. Motive is not an element of any crime. However, the motive here was that he was high on drugs and resented these people, to put it mildly. Look at the way they were all living including Guy. There was no blood on him b/c he ditched his clothes and cleaned up. Fortunately, he kept his underwear w/the victims' blood on them. He lied his ass off (consciousness of guilt) and stole "trophies." There is no "graded list of decision making" - that was an argument chart the defense atty prepared for himself. It is not evidence & it does not go in the jury room. The standard is BYRD -- that's it. They found him guilty byrd after hearing all the evidence, instructions by the court, and deliberations - none of which you were privy to. Seriously, you think a crappy biased BBC doc is a substitute? That some how a 1 hr doc is the same as several weeks of trial and 4 years of pretrial motions? Of course, you do. Talk about know it alls! Look in the mirror, princess! He really lucked out when the juror was kicked off for misconduct and they took death off the table. The defense even admitted that if the case were retried the DA would cure any mistakes and have better rebuttals to any issues the defense sprung on them. And yes, the person who murdered those 8 people did get away with murder in that he can have a productive life in prison while his victims have no life at all. So, go back to your "Guy Heinze He's So Dreamy Fan Club". Blech

I read on his fan boi site that he wished that the jury could have asked him questions directly. Sure. That's why he chose to waive his right to testify. lol

Yes, the people who heard/saw ALL the evidence and were instructed on the law are idiots but you who watched some idiotic 45 min. video know better. LOL Obviously, his attys also knew he was guilty b/c they said if the case was retried, the state would have an even stronger case against him. Oh, wait...you know more about the case than his attys. LOL So, get over yourself, you moron.

From a sensible british person who has just watched the docomentary , you are an idiot who sums up everthing that is wrong with god fearing , gun toting blinkered bigot's who continue to demonstrate why most of the rest of the civilised world can not stand american's. People living in squalor and abject poverty in "the greatest country in the world" while you go around the world inflicting your twisted version of freedom and democracy on any state that has something you want. You should be ashamed. There is clearly no real evidence or a "smoking gun" to prove his guilt , looks like justice Boss Hogg and Roscoe style.
Please just go away in your pick up truck and leave the rest of us to live in the 21st century.

You want a copy of the transcript, you contact the court reporter and pay her to make you a copy.

You want to see crime scene photos, or at least those entered into evidence, go to the court house and look at the court file. Or, you can hire someone locally to make copies for you. You cd probably do a an FOIA request and again you wd have to pay for it.

I have just watched this documentary and to me I find it impossible that someone could kill 8 people by themselves and let alone the screams of children and the fact that he would of been overpowered by the men in that trailer if he was by himself? There is more than a reasonable doubt, I'm no lawyer but common sense tells me something is very wrong with this case.

Answer me this one question... How is one 22 year old going to brutally kill a 49, 44, 45, 20, 22, 19, 15 and a 30 year old? Half of them are grown men.

Does anyone know if there were any bloody footprints found at the crime scene? Seems illogical that there weren't any given the amount of blood present.
