I would like to see the license of the establishment that over served this man stripped and charges filed. Ohio has laws that address the issue of continuing to serve alcohol to a patron that shows the classic signs of intoxication. The bartender that served should be charged as well.

don't be jerks and judge. he was a father, a son, a brother, and a friend. just be glad he was responsible enough not to drive drunk and kill a family...have some respect for his family and friends.

Oh so correct...I frequently classify as Superhuman...get it together WOMAN, COMMIT...what is comit? Is that what you use to clean your wash tub? NO....that is COMET. The facts are...he ingested large amounts of alcohol, got into a vehicle and drove to his destination and "something" happened to ignite the vehicle and because HE chose to ingest enough alcohol to impair his ability to exit a burning vehicle, he died. He had no care whether he died by a car fire, a high speed accident or a head on collision endangering the lives of innocent members of our community. Finally, a drunk that got it RIGHT, if only we could hear of more stories where they only do themselves in, but sadly...it doesn't happen that way nearly enough. I am NOT Ronny Anderson.

Please capitalize "i" when referring to yourself. I care that spelled it incorrectly, actually. It is "your", not "yoour". When trying to convey the thought of someone reclining, that would be "sit", "set" is when you place something somewhere or there is a combination of items, making it a "set". I do have a Life, my dear, and I plan on having one... As to the notion that CO is responsible...Was this person operating a vehicle that was not properly functioning? Who's responsibility is that?

The story reads more like the deceased passed out in his van, with it running, after "partying" with friends. Possible that the fumes from the wiring and upholstery killed him before the fire did.

I believe at this point, that question should be moot, whether the CO was from the poor exhaust system on the vehicle or the toxic fumes from burning plastics...had someone not been so completely wasted that they could not recognize the threat of death and ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW...these people would not be suffering the heartache of a lost friend. I believe everyone that ever cared for this person should tell the establishment that overserved this person exactly how their business practice is impacting the lives of his loved ones. He is ultimately responsible for his own death and consumption. But, when you keep serving someone alcohol when they should be drinking water...they should be financially impacted, or the 'tender should have some classes to attend and some fines. Peer pressure can also function in beneficial ways.

Peer pressure can also function in beneficial ways. You must have inside information that you have obtained from the grapevine. Nowhere in the article did it say that the deceased "partied" in a bar. It merely stated that some friends dropped him off at his van after they partied together. People don`t just party in bars, and alcohol isn`t the only party favor these days. The autopsy will determine if he had passed before the fire or if the fire was the cause of death. The lungs will tell the story.

If I relied on just one news source to gather information...I might percieved as gullible.

Don't ever go to Vegas or Atlantic City...or if you do, let me know so I can bank on your poor read of people. I love when people show how inane their thought processes are to the public with just a little tugging or pushing. I also love when someone reverts to elementary school potty mouth antics when cornered. You seem more connected to a small town bar in the middle of nowhere Ohio, than to a man in a burning van sitting in between 2 houses in the middle of nowhere Ohio. So...that BAR served an already intoxicated man TWO beers? Where do you gather YOUR information? And what is an AREA cowrd?
