Powell County Drug Bust

A major drug round-up occurred in Powell County. Over 30 people were arrested for drug possession. via WTVQ Lexington

they should start with some of the higher up officals who allow certain ones to sell drugs for them. from what i hear there are as many drugs in the jail as out on the streets.

you are most likely right on that .they aren't allowed to smoke cigarettes in jail which i think is dumb but it's other things they can get ahold of while in jail .iam not surprised at anything these days . thank you pam of ky.

You'll be happy to know they did some cleaning in Bath County on March 29th, Five Meth Labs taken out and $11,000 dollars worth of stolen property recovered. Hope all the areas around continue to clean up the drug problem.

hey happy ,do you think this is a joke or something ? this is some serious stuff going on here and everywhere else.sure powell co. needs cleaning up as well as other counties.also there are people that has no income that work for others [i'm assuming ]that do the drug selling so when they get one they get many..it's a real mess and i fear it'llget worse...

i'm gonna say this in defense of those who smoke pot, acohol kills we know that drinking and driving does not mix but look how many people are killed everyday from that very thing .pills that people take for health reasons that are missused .they are sold and pills that are meant to keep someone alive are sold to get a buzz and they end up dying from it .pot doesn't kill ...they just get hungry for food...

That sounds like a good deal ,anyway most places do have legal pot for health reasons.But i'm serious now all pot does is make you hungry for food or somthing sweet.But all this other crap is totally life taking ,mixing pills ,taking pills with acohol to get a better buzz .Hell what is wrong with our people these days?Somebody help these poor old lost souls that can't find something useful to do with thier lives .Kick them in the ass and wake them up to reality .

I'm glad to see that they arrested SOME off them. I've lived in Powell County my whole life and its just got worse. The only thing that is going to clean up Powell County for good is to start cleaning out the courthouse thats where its all starts... trust me i've seen it first hand. I'm am proud to say that powell county is not the worst drug county i have seen. I know live in a Army town and it is 500 times worse then powell.

Has anyone arrested Lori Charles yet? She lives on Airport RD. She stays with her mom she is 33 years old and is too lazy to get out of bed and take care of her kid half the time she mostly prowls at night and uses men to bring her drugs to her she is as bad as her brother Jason and her dad Dallas. there is all kinds of drugs and paraphanalia in her moms house and mom Brenda works her ass off and cant or wont do anything about it It is a shame that Lories little girl has to grow up there. but Lori is very careful not to get caught she takes pills and smokes crack the law needs to investigate these people.

I dont know why that it says im from West Liberty Im from Winchester. I have been to Lories house with my brother a few times I will not be back!! She acted like she was interested in my brother and all she wanted was his prescriptin for his pain meds. and he was stupid enough to fall for it soon as the supply was gone she wasnt interested in him at all she is nothin but a loser and my brother was stupid in using poor judgement. LOL.
