What type of new businesses would you like to see in our community. You always here people asking if we are getting this or that, but what would you REALLY like to see us have?

A NICE sit down restaruant, like Rafferty's, O Charlie's, or TGI Friday's.
Casual but nice!
A mix of foods.
Not a mexican or itallian joint.
And not another skanky steakhouse.

We need Olive Garden! The one fast food place we need is Rally's. Pfft we'll probably just get another bank or bar or carwash *rolling eyes*

Is food all you can think of? Does anyone think some type of shopping or entertainment might be a good addition...what about a indoor soccer arena, or a children's museum?

We could use a mall. wal mart is always overcrowded and there's nothing there anyway. We need more activities here like batting cages and rock climbing walls, skateboard park...We need more grocery stores because all these places are so crowded.

I agree some places for the kids to go would be great. Wouldn't a sports complex be neat. It could include all the above.

Some places to play raquet ball!

A large indoor facility with several of the above mentioned items such as raquet ball, batting cages, rock wall, indoor pool and ball courts. It doesn't have to have excercise equipent as we have two excellent facilities who already provide this.

The old Food Lion Building would be great for something but it would have to be family oriented because if not you get the drugges and the thugs out there who want to fight and carry on. All the items listed above would be so great and you would have to travel to another place to spend the money to have fun when it could be used right here in this town. Indoor putt putt golf , mini food court, nice place to sit while the older children played, indoor small race track(kinda like in pigeon forge) there has to be something for our children to do except movies and bowling.There are too many rich people in this town that sits back and allows things to go out of business and we really need something.Gas is outrageous and we could afford to spend alittle right here instead of somewhere else.

What new restaurant is going in the old chinese place? I hadn't heard anything about it. Also, what is being built behind the cracker barrel? Does anyone know? I think I am way behind times.

Dah! I thought you were hell bent on bringing business to the downtown area? Why aren't you promoting it?? Practice what you preach.

We are working on opening other businesses. Why don't you do something with yourself? You could, but you'll probably sit on the computer all day trying to bring somebody else down. Have fun, squatter.

I see why the mayor and others supposedly ignore you now. You talk in circles you have an opinion on everything. I read an earlier post that you went for supplies and rode around town most of the day. So i am assuming the rest of the time you spend on the computer. Where do you have time to tend to your customers? The way you carry on you have as much business as Miami Ink or something! Things must be slow for the TAX PAYER.
Its crazy that some people think everyone owes them something, when in fact they should be trying to do for the good of Mt Sterling instead of running their soup cooler about the city and county officials.
Only my take on how things look and are interpreted by others!
