Leave Blankenbaker Parkway alone!! If you must name a street after him, name a new one in an area that would best reflect the african american population. As a taxpayer I can find a multitude of benefitial projects to spend MY money on.

I agree also, wouldn't it be more appropiate to wait till his records are opened in 2027 to really find out what he stood for. They should be made puplic now if there is nothing to hide then I might be inclined to rename the whole state.

King was not a bad man, in fact he was a good man. If Louisville wants to gripe about anyone who has too much attention and too much hype, how about a draft dodging, country fleeing coward like Ali?

king was not a louisville native
king was not the heavy weight chapion of the world from louisville
king was a good man with the civil right movement
but if they are to take away from the blankenbakers who are born and raised here then they dont need to do that just like the jefferson freeway being named gyen snider he is born and raised in louisville
if they are going to name a street after king then rename grape alley no one lives on that street and it short
or how about renaming ruckriegal parkway after king taking the names away from people who was born and raised in louisville or jeffersontown is disrespectful one road was renamed after a good man rev.coleman from the baptist church of jefferson town anyways king already has a street named after him downtown

this kind of political correct crap has to end ,this man has thousands of streets named after him all over the united states 'now their taking a historical family road name and thinking of naming it after him as well .
dont we already have 2 or 3 mlk streets already in louisville .
i think even mlk himself would say enough is enough if he were here . get off the mans nuts already
