This is great news. New Orleans and the areas around it has come a long way and has a long way to go. This move will help to improve the city and bring more jobs.

Yes the 93,000 spent on the bike track in the ninth should really help also.

Again some really bad information, not factual and totally off base. The streets were repaved. The painting company added a bike section with white paint, the cost of the paint was small. The path is in the section of the 9th Ward that did not flood and is near the French Quarter. People not familiar with what is going on, not residents, and who are so ill mannered should not post misinformation about my City. There is also another one just like it finished on Robert E. Lee Blvd in Lakeview. Same thing paint on the far right where parking was once and is not allowed now as it is a bike path. Painting a bike path on re done streets does not cost that much. The streets being redone were damaged by the storm and water that sat on them for weeks. They had to be re-paved, many more need repair too. Adding a little paint is a good thing and does not cost much.

Well then you need to correct AP because thats the story they are running. It's says that 93,000 was added to the resurfacing project to make the track. And their source is Karen Parsons senior transportation planner for the regional planning commission. And it's not just YOUR city it's mine also and I love it like family.

Then go for a ride and look at it and read the City of New Orleans web page for details. It isn't a track, it is paint along the side of the street. Expect more of them too as all the roads will be repaved and if there is room there will be more bike trails painted along them.
