Is it any wonder why N.O. isn't getting cleaned up or rebuilt. With Nagin and Jefferson being re-elected the rest of the country has just written N.O. off. Why would anyone want to help with those two racist corrupt democrats running the show? Let them rebuild it themselves with the bribe money that they collect.

I agree. I can't believe these people voted this smuck in again, and I vote for the Democrats. This brings no legitimacy to their campaign. The people of New Orleans need to clean up their act. Don't complain about corruption and then be party to it. Sad day, sad day.

It's called "democracy" and this future criminal has not been convicted - yet.

John Boehner (R) was reelected and he handed out checks from the tobacco companies on the House floor in order to buy votes from Congressmen.

THEY ALL NEED TO CLEAN UP THEIR ACTS! What the matter with you people. Where does all the corruption end? End it, damnit, end it all! We the people are tired of the "well so and so did it" b.s. End it, for Gods' sake!

The honorable thing is to step down. He shows no respect for his office. You may be "innocent" until PROVEN guilty, but this guy was "guilty" when he took the money. He knows it and will make the government jump through all the hoops to convict him--another sign of disrespect for the office he took oath to uphold. A continuance of corruption in DC!!

He will not be found guilty, he is a Democrat! They steal from the hard working people all of the time and give to those who lay around on their ___, well you know.

Absolutely correct...and the residents of N.O. wonder why there's only about half the population there was before the storm. Because no one wants to come back to that morass and I suspect many more of the more affluent residents, largely undamaged by the storm, will leave over time as the corruption and racial warlord conclave continues unabated. Seems they'll never learn and just keep doing the same stupid things with the same stupid people (pols and voters alike) to perpetuate sordid mess. Keep my tax dollars out of it...it's a money pit with no bottom.

It amazes me that he won re-election. Here in Ohio we cleaned house of those charged or accussed of corpution. So I don't understand how Jefferson won it, this is an example of when party affiliation does a dis-service to this nation and the state of LA.

N.O. is turning into an even bigger cess pool. Well you know Dems are never at fault. It was more than likely a Rep planted the money in his freezer, yeah thats it.....it was planted!
