The Cains have never done anything for this city, why would we expect them to do anything now. John Johnson has done a bad job of managing this city and I doubt that he is going to all of sudden change his working habits. I think he should have been let go.

John Johnson is a fine city manager and a fine person. He has done a better job than the completely incompetant one before him and a better job than Darden.
One thing I have learned in life is that if a person is on a witch hunt there is a whole lot of projection going on with a good dose of trying to keep their misdoings and/or misgivings from the limelight. That's why they focus their wrath on other people...So look to who on council is doing the hunting and there you will find the problem.

I really doubt that. The guy is a terrible city manager. He has cost the city hundreds of thousands dollars over the years from his neglect and pretty much just general laziness. I would say the fingers are pointing in the right direction by getting rid of Mr. Johnson.

John Johnson is horrible for Jeff City! As long as he is in that position things will continue to go downhill for us. This city brings in a lot of money, but things look much worse here in town than they did 10 years ago. City council and the mayor are really to blame though for keeping him in that spot for far too long. I don't blame Johnson for taking advantage of their stupidity.

Outside of the city office, Mr. Johnson may be a good guy, but it is time he steps down. He is not the only one that needs to go. Everyone has made the remarks about tax payers money. Have you seen the ten million dollar community they have at the city center. There are only a hand full of people that work in the one city center building. When I asked while paying my water bill how many people worked in that building, no one would answer. Finding out there might be 10 people total. Come on people what are we doing with our community and the money we are putting into it? We need answers!!

Johnson may do ok running some tiny little city out in the middle of nowhere, but he has done nothing for jefferson city in all the years he has been here. Maybe he should try looking for a job that he can handle.

The place sits over there basically empty all of the time. Walking in there shows what a big waste of money it was. Its already falling apart at the foundation, because the property wasn't really fit to build on. The location was just plan dumb, but what more would expect from Jefferson City?

VERY occasionally. Does anyone actually get any work done over there at city hall? That is probably why Johnson barely escaped the guillotine. Nobody wants to have to do any work around this place.

WASTED TAX DOLLARS! This money should have been used to help the city as a whole, not buy new offices for a couple of city employees who spend their day in an empty building and get to go home at 4:00.

John Johnson keeps on vying for time and knows he has not done half of the stuff he should have been doing during his time as city manager. He needs to resign. If this city is ever going to get anywhere, they really need to get someone in that office that knows how to get things done. We have suffered long enough under him and sacrificed way too much.

You can blame John Johnson and Daryl Helton and the rest of the city council sheep like Ole Mark Potts for the new city center fiasco. The whole place was a serious waste of money for a city that is actually losing population. People are wising up and moving out, while the 4 people that actually work over at city hall sit around and twiddle their thumbs all day in a building that is pretty much worthless to this city.

I am not from here and do not know any of these people, but according to what you read in newspaper the city and county both are in bad shape. Apparently, a bunch of ding-a-lings are operating, city, county and education system. You got one person in school system votes no on everything, just wonder if he has kids in system, then the county could not decide on which bonds, why do they not have everything worked out and make a presentation without so much indecisiveness.
Like a bunch of yahoos running everything.
That is the way it has always been in my 76 plus years here. No changes needed as long as the good ole boy system is clicking along. Glad I learnt to use a puter in my golden years. hehehe

If these people on city council and mayor potts actually wanted to do something good for Jefferson City, they would fire John Johnson and reconfigure the city management so things can actually get done around here. John Johnson has pretty much brought us to a grinding halt with any kind of positive progress, by stalling anything that people try to accomplish. It's way past time for him to go!

GET THIS GUY OUT OF HERE! John johnson is the last person I would want running this city or any city for that matter. If you have ever dealt with this guy, you know that he is more interested in just keeping his job then he is in helping this city. That is a problem!

If you put someone on that position that actually cares about this city, it would be amazing what we could actually get done.
