I know Steve and Chico quite well, and if everyone that reads this could give just $5 for this cause, it would be so worth it. I know that times are hard for all of us, but they are there to protect us and who do we call when we need help, or are in trouble. People call the law names BUT i sure notice that when something goes wrong and they need 911, they aren't afraid to use it. God Bless Steve, Chico and all the deputys, city police and highway patrols.

Can someone provide me with contact info for Officer Steve? We have several Veterinarians in Tulsa that might help with Chico's cause.

Steve and Chico are with the Delaware County Sheriff's Office in Jay, OK. I tried to post the phone number and it won't allow me too. Maybe if i (918) break it up (253), it will allow me to (45) (31) post it. Let's see if this works.

Okay, it showed that it posted it, but it looks really dorky, lol, but hopefully that will help you. I put the numbers is (--) so it would get the last 4 cause it wouldn't post otherwise.

Good going girl...It worked!!! I will definitely donate to this cause. I think it is wonderful that he is doing this for his partner. If he feels better he will "work" better! I work with law enforcement on a daily basis with my job and these officers (including Chico) do not get the credit they deserve. Bless you Steve for taking care of Chico and thank you for your service. Best of luck to both of you and be careful out there!

why doesn't a vet step up to the plate and offer their services for these people and animals that put their life on the line for us everyday??

I left a message for Deputy Brownell. Assuming Chico's dental damage is severe, he will most likely have to go to a specialist. Unfortunately there are not a lot of those in Oklahoma. Hopefully we can help him out.

What about the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary medicine? they should have a crack team of soon-to-be vets who should see this as a worthwhile project?

I am actually in operations for Veterinary hospitals in Oklahoma and Colorado. We have some resources here and at a few of our Specialty practices in Denver. I am not sure what OSU has in terms of a dental specialist. In speaking with one of our doctors, he is thinking Chico would likely need crowns placed on the broken teeth. There are few practices in Oklahoma that can accommodate this type of procedure. Hopefully we can be of some assistance.

Small Animal Clinic of Tulsa - at about 33rd and S. Harvard....

David S. Russell, DVM, FAVD

He is specialized in canine dentistry.. he treated my cocker spaniel's lower teeth (birth defect caused my dog to have an overbite). He is very kind - give him a call - perhaps he will step up and help.

I just spoke with Officer Brownell whom I work with--a vet stepped up to do the work pro bono. These officers, Steve and Chico, are a dynamic duo and all of Delaware County thank all of you for your humanity and support!!!
