I was at the Sequatchie County Passing Day this evening and was looking forward to seeing Marion's new head coach and his staff working with the fine young mean from Marion County. I was appalled at the coaching staff and their use of foul language. Being an ex-football guy I understand the occasional slip of the tongue. This staff was the worst I have seen in many seasons. As a parent in attendance I was truley DISSAPOINTED with the non-stop use of cussing! You could hear every Daxxit, well ShxT, and every other word used way to often. If I was a Marion County parent I would be at the school board demanding a fix to this unethical coaching style. Really, this new coach has been at your place for less than a year and already gotten in trouble with the TSSAA and allows his coaches to talk and coach with no respect for their players or the role that they are playing a mentors to young men.....Really DISSAPOINTING!

Wah wah wah, what the heck were you doing at a "FOOTBALL" scrimmage if a little profanity offends you. When your boss tells you to get your lazy ass back to work do you run to the HR lady and ask for a Kotex? They do it at high school, they do it at college and they do it in the pros. If it offends someone then their kid needs to turn in his football helmet and buy a saxophone and play in the band. You all had better be worred Coach Mac is the real deal!!!!!

I wonder who the parents and football players will blame when Marion County can't score a touchdown this year. You may cuss your wife, children, co-workers, friends, warriordad, but if you had the balls to tell me to get off my lazy ass, you would be picking yourself off the floor, this old girl was taught the right way, not the trailer trash way

No doubt that Coach Mac's record is backed by his coaching style, All I am saying as a parent a few......a bunch of I'll used words is more damaging to a program than a loss or even multiple losses. Just as my grandfather taught me I feel the same way......those that cuss are not intelligent enough to use the entire vocabulary of the english language.....I've got no question Mac can coach or is a good coach, just wish my family was not expossed the foul mouth language used......by the way their were four other teams present and I heard none of that filth from their coaches.....Just say-in!

when i played for colquitt he cussed us all the time...didnt hurt my feelings and we won championships... we got chewed out mainly in the film room but on the field too. we played hard because nothing else was tolerated and my momma wouldnt have dared show up to a practice or a scrimmage. i agree with warrior dad and all you mommas need to stay away from practice if your too delicate ears cant take it and if your boy cant take it then put him in the drama club or something

I agree you mommas need to sit in the car and wait until practice is over, because you are ruining MCHS football. You make quitters out of your kids and instead you should make them finish what they start. For example last season. You mommas and daddy's should be ashamed.

Wow, little Johnny was cussed and yelled at. God forbid your little child is called lazy and told what to do. If you dont like it take him off the team and keep him inside the house. Its football and people get emotional over it. Go to the school board and complain and get another coach run off that might be able to turn things around.

If you dont like it stay in the car or away from the field on Friday nights.....
Badasse s? Or what?
Cry when you lose. Cry when someone tries to fix it. Didn't hear anyone bitching when ken was raising hell on that same sideline. Jasper needs to have closed practices. Remember coaches preference to have spectators at practice. I've seen college cheer leading coaches get louder and an nc17 rating at best.

Ohhh does anyone complain when practice is over and all you hear loud big booty hoe music in the kids car as they head home or where ever they go after practice.

If you don't like the coaching style. Go to school become a coach lets see how you wear your whistle. I know that the people crying about the language did not play sports . Good luck

This my last post on YOUR teams page. First, you can say what you will about stay in the car, quit and go home, and Stay away from our practices and sidelines. To each his own....with that said as a TEACHER yes all coaches are hired as Teachers FIRST, teir number one job is to educate and lead. Sorry for pointing out the obvious here, do you think these coaches cuss it up in the class room? Do they GD every time some one misses a math question....answer NO. The football field is an extension of the class room. Oh and again I will point out those that cuss do so because they are not educated enough to choose other words form the english language. Enjoy your long and miserable year highlighted by ignorant coaches cussing at young impressionable students that just want to try and please....I see a 0-10 or 2-8 type year for your school and hapless leaders.

So, how did Grandpa feel about folks who are judgemental, vindictive and apparently clairvoyant. Personally, I've never expected, or even thought, that a football field was any extension of a school classroom. Grown men (coaches in this case) express themselves in different ways. If the MC coaches are out of line the school administration will take care of the problem.

i am a football mom and an mchs alumni. you know i dont remember anyone complaining about bad language when they had all those wins with colquette and he cussed those guys like dogs. i dont have a problem with coach mac. the program already seems to be improving. practices are already more organized and they seem to be working more as a team. those boys respect the coach more they respect each other more and also they respect themselves more. i dont have a problem with him.

If you're going to B*tch an moan because your kid got cussed at, I have 3 questions for you

1. if you children can't take being yelled and cussed at, why are you even letting them play a sport as violent as football?

2. do you not think they hear the same words as soon as they get in their car and turn on their music, or when they get home and watch tv?

3. Do you not think your child alraedy knows these words and doesn't use them?

My child does not play football but my husband did. The language wasn't "nice" when he played. But hold on, the "bad language" doesn't just happen on the football field. It happens in the "classroom" as well. Starting in middle school and even in high school. I've heard the children talk about the teachers and their language. Let the "kids be kids"! They only go thru school once. And bad language happens at ALL the schools.
