Confused Democrat Lewisburg, TN	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Oct 30, 2012 I was researching these two candidates while in Lewisburg, and a fellow Democrat advised me of Vickie Cain losing her Teaching rights for abusing a child in school. According to Topix people in Lewisburg (where both candidates reside), Cain did lose her teaching certificates for taping a childs mouth shut and ridiculing the student in front of the class. As a life long Democrat I want to vote for Democrats but wasn't sure I could vote for someone who has abused anyone, much less a child. After reading all the responses (which you can view over on the Lewisburg Topix), I'm not sure if I can vote for her. Does any Marion County people have any idea on either of these candidates?

I'm trying to figure that out before Tuesday. I was in Lewisburg visiting a friend and she advised me of what she believed happened in a school years ago. I tried to verify via TN Teachers Assoc. but they were not helpful, so I posted on the Lewisburg Topix to see if anyone else had heard about the abuse. And what was surprising is that on of Vickie Cains supporters said it was true but happend when she was a young teacher. That started other topix contributors to give me good and bad things about Cain. I'm still not sure what type of person Cain is, so I'll probably just not vote for that race.
Hey United States	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #4 Oct 31, 2012 i am very concerned about this issue. i talked with a few people today in town and they all seemed to know about the child abuse story. it looks like these are true stories, which is very unfortunate. vickie cain will not be receiving my vote
