This is really a good service they are providing to the people. Some of the prices that funeral home charge is like buying your last home. At about the same price of the one you might live in now. Keep up the good work. We need more people like you in other businesses to bring the prices back down to earth. Some people just think that the sky is the limit. Or they want to get there before they die to see what is in store for them when the time has come to leave this big old earth. With the taxes that this state charges it's people. His business just might pick up more than what he will be able to keep up with. What a Deal.

St. Meinrad's is a beautiful place. My husband and I stopped there in March during an unplanned roadtrip and really enjoyed it. They have a huge giftshop where they sell other items made at the Abbey.

We also visited St. Meinrad. The caskets are absolutely beautiful as well as the area.

Being only 27 years old, I did not know that before 1994, people had to purchase caskets from the funeral home. Now, we have the choice to be buried in a casket we choose. I am from Fulda, IN (right next to St. Meinrad, IN) and I am proud to say that my Uncle Cletus Seifert is the craftsman in the photo. I want to thank the 4 previous peoples' comments. It is nice to be from a small town that has something of wonderful quality to offer. I hate to see local businesses pushed aside by big, corporate businesses. America, please continue to support your local businesses, especially Abbey Caskets available at the Abbey Press Gift Shop at the St. Meinrad Archabbey, made by Hurst Cabinets in Indiana.

After reading this article, the hubbins and I are thinking about adding the Abby to our list of day trips to take this summer. It is so cool to see real artisans and their craft.(As for the funeral industry - it's outrageous!)

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
