Sorry Julee we won't be back service was slow and food left much to be desired but you are proud of your prices. We knew people that visited your restaurant in Ellijay and they said the say thing about that location should have listened to them.

I apologize to any of you who felt that you received slow service but as with any restaurant opening we are training new servers. These servers are still learning some of the POS system and our systems of service; and, unfortunately, some do not catch on as fast as others. We will continue to try to be faster with regards to service and food quality. Fortunately the number of compliments we have received far outweighs the complaints. If I've learned anything in this business, you can't please everyone; all you can do is give it your best shot. Thank you again for letting me know your opinion.

Unfortunately I have given up going out as most places either can't afford, or don't care, to put in designated smoking areas.

That leaves a few bars (like Rocco's) But that's ok too; less poorly disciplined children to contend with.

I ate here with my family of 6. Our server was very polite and provided excellent service. We each ordered different items; everything we ordered came out within 20 minutes, was hot and delicious. Good luck Julee's!

Thank you LaVerne for your comment - look forward to seeing you on Thanksgiving. To Dragon - sorry you were disappointed but as I've said before you can't please everyone no matter how you try. We will plan on being open a long time - the people here have embraced us and we feel like we are improving each day. Thanks again for your comments.

I agree with Dragon the food was average at best but the prices were way above average. We ate there once and it wasn't very good but we did go back thinking the place was new and had some kinks to work out. Well quite honestly the second time was worse than the first. The food is tasteless the service leaves alot to be desired and again the prices are steep especially for what you get.

And again - you cannot please everyone!!! Thankfully the number of compliments we receive and return customers far outweigh the number of complaints. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Sorry Julee but no matter how many times you come on here and pat yourself on the back your place is still no good. Family ate there recently and it was a very bad expweiwnce from the service to the food. Menu sounds fancy but iys just plain simple. I'm sure you'll have to write a response but you need to be spending more time in the kitchen trying to fix your problems.

Mtn. Lover I'm glad you have an opinion now let me have mine. You're right its better than McDonalds but not by much and you must have went on half price night or something if you think the prices are good. Eagle Man has a right to say what he wants to just like Julee does you don't expect her to say something bad about her restaurant do you.

I think it is amazing how the same people have much to say about everything on topix, yet none of it is ever good. Also, the amount of posts, is absolutely overwhelming. How does one have time to post continually on this site? If life is so boring that you are down to trolling the internet, looking for something else to complain about besides your life, then give it up or get off your ass and make something of yourself.

As for Julee's, You are right, you can't please them all. Crap happens, some times people don't get the ass kissing they think they deserve when they go out to eat. If they want a sommelier and a personalized waitstaff, they can go to Buckhead, and really complain when they get the bill. I have experienced Julee's in Ellijay and Jasper multiple times, and each time, I was never with an empty glass, the server was attentative, but not interfering with my conversations with company, food was cooked well and tasted like it said on the menu. As for the pricing, it was to be expected. Going to a sit down restaraunt I expect to pay more than a buger, BBQ, or chicken joint, which plague this area. You want to spend less, then cook at home or hit the drive thru, it is that simple.

Jarod what are you doing trolling on Topix nothing to do with your life? Look everyone that wants to post on this site is welcome to and they are allowed to speak their opinion just like you so get over it. I myself have eaten at Julees and I personally didn't care for it either so now you can bitch about me too. We're so happy you had a glass full and got to talk to your company what a waste it would have been for you to have to go to a fast food sit down or drive thru. I'm glad you like Julees but not everyone does.

bill you couldn't have said it better it seems as though if you don't say something good about this restaurant someone will jump you. i've never eaten there so i can't comment but it sure seems funny maybe the restaurant staff themselves are writing the good reviews
Two visits to Julee

Jasper, GA

#20 Dec 12, 2011
Extremely disappointed on both visits, one shortly after it opened, and other last week.
First visit: Entree we wanted was not available (country fried steak), so we ordered the chicken. Service was very slow, prices high, and food mediocre.

Last week: We ordered rueben sandwich and pulled pork. The reuben appeared to have corned beef that had been restructured rather than fresh sliced corned beef. It came without cheese, and had to remind waitress that we'd ordered horseradish. The pulled pork was dry as a bone, and the BBQ sauce appeared to be cold catsup or more similar to a sauce used on fried fish rather than being BBQ sauce. Again, service was very slow and the waitress never inquired why I'd only taken one bite of the pulled pork sandwich.

Prices aren't out of line on sandwiches, but seem high on entrees. Had high hopes of an alternative to Fatz, so disappointed it didn't work for us.

I grew up on a family where my father ran a restaurant in West Texas, so I'm aware of the many challenges of running a restaurant.
