Letter needs to be rewritten and/or edited into something an average person can decipher.

First of all, nice letter, Mr. Barton. Everyone knows that Piper and **** aren't capable of stringing even three coherent sentences together, much less several paragraphs.
Dave, none of the 25 people are getting paid for time or travel. Please check your facts before shooting your mouth off.
There was no attempted railroading. This is a group of sad, pathetic, attention-seeking people, who apparently have nothing better to do with their time. Maybe they should volunteer for a soup kitchen somewhere.
Mr. Clapper doesn't have a secretary. Salaries are certainly not huge, and reported benefits have been greatly inflated simply to promote someone's petty agenda. This is the same group of people who went after the school board for several years, and ended up proving and accomplishing nothing except to get their names in the paper once in awhile.

Mr. Barton is a retired federal employee who, while sucking his comfortable monthly annuity out of the rest of us, suggests that Wage Tax employees have their benefits cut. Double standard, anyone? Buehler? Buehler?
Right on! These two are dumb and dumber. Barton is probably the biggest coward ever known. He hides behind blogs, emails and anonymous letters. And as you aptly said, sucking off the taxpayers...literally.

I have a real problem with this tax to start with! This tax penalizes good hard working people for working. How about lets enforce a tax on the welfare crowd for the right to sit at home on your butts while the rest of us slave away to make a living for our families. then the Federal Government can make sure that the taxes come out of thier welfare checks.
And let's not forget all the immagrants who don't even have to pay taxes but the older folks who are living on fixed incomes, even after you take their social security, have to pay. Where is all the money from Hollywood Casino going? Are any of PA's residents getting any tax relief because of that??? No one person is going to be able to do anything.... this calls for a bonding of brilliant citizens!

PA is NOT a state! It is a COMMONWEALTH! Get it!?! When are the people going to take a stand?...... Probably never. Gripe and complain, maybe, but to actually take action vs their elected officials?.....never. Put up or shut up! As long as you are willing to take it.......they will give it.
Me?..... I'm moving in spring.**** this place.
if PA isn't a state then the united STATES is made up of nothing but commonwealth's. Did you graduate high school? You better hit a book or two buddy.

Commonwealth: the official designation (rather than “State”) of four states of the U.S.: Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Some definitely got paid time & travel. Don't try your baloney with me.
I know for a fact that during the first meeting there was an attempt to just hand it over to the Chambersburg firm. If it wasn't for the Tuscarora rep speaking up, it might have happened.
This is serious stuff & could save the school districts tens of thousands of dollars.
The author of the LTE is on target.
This is one time and maybe the only time I will agree with any of your posts. This is serious stuff. Far too serious for the folks of Franklin County to understand. You would be hard pressed to find 25 people in Franklin Country who know what a RFP is or could explain the details of it. I know both of these LTE authors and their character and dedication to the people of Frankin County is above reproach. They spend their own money to fight the corruption of schoolboard, borough, county, and state government and you (relating to all other negative posts above) reward them with criticism. If they ran for County commissioners, I would vote for them in a second.

You have to love it when people question the old boys network and everyone gives them a hard time about.

If the process is above reproach, then they shouldn't have any problems debating the letter writers.

Glad to see someone is watching the store. Complaining and name-calling on here does nothing to improve government. Thanks to Mr. Piper and Mr. Funk.

It's Larry Skunk! The guy who rails about government spending then votes to raise school taxes.
