$2 million for an animal shelter? That's insane! Franklin County has a shelter for homeless PEOPLE AND FAMILIES that struggles to survive every year, but somehow there's that much money to house homeless animals.

Is CASD nuts? Sell the land and lower my taxes. I don't see how CASD can "give" away tax payers assets. It's time to get some people with common sense at CASD.

You're doin' a heck of a job, Brownie.

There are building to demolish with environmemntal issues.

The school is looking to unload a problem. The shelter might be better off just buying land without all the problems.

From the school aspect, they would be saving us money to give away the land.

So CASD accepted land that had environmental issues and now has to give it away to save taxpayers money. Really sounds like a bunch of buffoons running CASD. You make my case for me Dave.

I hear there is another round of promotions and raises to be announced by Joe and the CASD. Eric Michael gets a new more important sounding title, Billy Hodge gets promoted to yet another assistant superintendent position and the principal from CAMS gets to be the Director of Human Resources. The test scores are probably already rising. Afterall, there is plenty of tax payer money to spend. No problem, they can't run out of money because they will just take what they need from us. Nothing you can do.

No test scores are not improving. CASD is again on the slippery slope.

Looks like Billy took an internet course or two and now can collect his reward.

He and "big Joe" went to college together...I REALLY WANT to know why a group of administrators and a select few teachers are going to Walt Disney World for a teacher conference seminar thing this summer. No they are NOT staying at a budget resort they are staying at the $300/nt hotel....WHY??

I've gotten to the point where just seeing a headline about CASD makes me a little queasy. The district really does cause most of their problems.

I wish the Animal Shelter the best of luck though.

yep, another round of promotions will be announced. However, they'll probably be tucked on the back page so to not arouse a firestorm.
