What walking trail ?? All I see is a b-ball field.
That walking trail better be asphalt not stones, but I wouldn't put it past Dave to only have stones. He won't even put in stop signs to slow down traffic in developments to make our kids safe.
You are correct. They are no signs at the developments were the elementary school is and a request was done years ago.

That is if you believe the blog. Look who wrote it, the Bird Lady.
Mr Hitchcock, all of the items listed in the blog are not just my opinion but are documented by correspondence from Welton Fischer, the townships solicitor and our attorney.
as far as my being the bird lady, i don;t consider myself as such. I am a veterinarian by profession, and a board certified specialist in bird medicine and surgery.

I agree with the $500 fee for a new house.
It beats a income tax you have to pay every year.
I only hope it is built as soon as possible and that it includes most if not all of what Guilford did with Norlo Park. It is really nice.
Lets quit mooching off Chambersburg and it's recreational options. Lets get building...
so, lets see, its ok for new residents to the area to pay for a park that old residents get to use without contributing ANY money in the form of tax revenue? is that because many new home residents are not "from here" so its ok to tax them?

The "idiots" are so clueless that they have managed to keep the township property tax at a big fat ZERO percent for many, many years.
Now that is the township property tax, not the county or school district tax that residents have to pay regardless of where they live.
ah, but don;t forget that wage tax that they get, even tho they have MILLIONS of dollars in their township CD. Do they really NEED your wage tax dollars, esp since they can affort to thro away $300,000.00?

I'm still wondering why they didn't level the old elevator building at the park. Instead they just built the parking lot around it, literally.
oh i am sure it is used to house more of the township's new "toys". It sure won;t be used by the general public for anything "recreational"

while you requested enough on this topic, i do feel the need to make a comment. There have been alot of comments posted ergarding the park andits costs, but i don;t think folks have looked at the whole picture. What did not only the purchasae price of the land, but the cost to pull out all the trees, blast the limestone and move all that dirt cost even before any of the "park stuff" was put in-andd that money could have been saved if a more suitable piece of land had been chosen.
and don;t forget that $300,000 grant, the lion;s share of the grants awarded in franklin county, is lost to you and your children. ask yourself, when do you think dcnr is going to give greene township that much money again?

one thing i would suggest is that if you have only read the article, you should go to the property website at www.corkerhill.com and read the historical application, etc and then click on the "sun" icon and it will take you to the blog where the entire nightmare is summarized.

After reading the blog at corkerhill.com it is quite obvious that Mr (term used loosely) Jamison and his team of cronies are a bunch of jerks. Sure am glad they're not wasting my boro taxes on there over-priced baseball field. What a group of loose, run-away, cannons.....
Good luck Rose Fickett and hope to see you remedied for the foot dragging and damages created by these buffoons. Time to stick it to them....

It is unfortunate when reading mr hook's article that the impression one gets is that the township failed to act because of my birds in the house. what it doesn;t really explain is the "gifts" that mr jamison expected to get even tho these items were expressly excluded from the appraissals on the house. The issue of the birds was easy to address, esp with the various proposals that i offered to resolve the issue.
and, in the spirit of negotiation, we did offer him a variety of items that were originally not going to convey. NONE of the lighting fixtures were original to the house; many of the antique door hardware was and we felt this should stay with the house.
as for his comments about investing too much money in the property? how much did it cost to dispose of the arsenic impregnated dirt? take a look at how your tax dollars were spent and ask yourself how much was it worth to YOU and YOUR family?
