Just what we need....another traffic light!! Great, now traffic on Rt. 11 going out of town is going to be as bad as Rt. 30 going west out of town.

AMEN! A traffic light at this intersection is long overdue!

The light will hold up traffic, but it will be great for all the tractor and trailers trying to get out on Rt. 11. Its about time they do something with that intersection.

Hopefully this will cut down on the traffic using the restaurant as a place to pull into and turn left.

Yes, another traffic light.
Whoo, hooo.....
Please make it blink after 9 or 10 at night. I get tired of stopping for one car leaving Wally World at 11 at night when a blinking light would work just fine.
I am sure our gas mileage and brakes suffer for all the traffic lights installed in this county.

would it really matter, all the ya-hoos will still run the light in the middle of the night, just like anyother light... I do admit, at times the light is busy, but come one, with a little common driving knowlege, does it really matter? If you dont want to deal with it ride the speeders on 997 or cut threw letterkeney.

Jeez, the way the first article in the P.O. (earlier this year) made it seem like this much needed light would be up by October. My family uses that intersection at least six times daily.

Speaking of Lights! I've been tempted to run the 1 at the bottom of the northbound exit lane at Wayne Ave. The timer on that thing needs a serious tweak! I've sat there (waiting for a Green light to turn left) on several occasions for close to 5 minutes, and I am not exaggerating.
Anyone else get stuck at that 1?

Also the one on Fourth Street crossing Lincoln Way. Run it many mornings. What a waste of time and fuel. Stop signs are sufficient, unless you were born in Franklin Cty. I also turn left off of Walker onto Norland. Red or not...come and get me!

The only thing is when it happens it would almost be called an "on purpose" because you purposely ran the red or you purposely turned left. Gee thanks

Queeny - you sound just like a typical, home brewed, boring, no backbone, Franklin Countian. Can't cross the street without a red light. Need "no turn on Red" signs at every corner - just because we can.
Your frickin insurance rates are high because you can't drive; have had multiple incident; and your insurance company has deemed you a high risk. Has nothing to do with me crossing Queen St on red after stopping.
You dumb asp - I stop; I wait; I look twice; check my mirrors for cops; check left again and the proceed. No chance of me wrecking or causing a wreck.
I don't just ignore and blow thru the light at speed.
Time for you warm milk and cookies and bedtime.

In the 40 years I've been driving, I've never had a single ticket nor accident. I've driven all over the United States and Europe. I love that you "check the mirrors for Cops"! It warms the cockles of my heart that you break the law every time you do this. BTW, in my younger days I would issue tickets to the jerks who did just as you do now. Once, when a driver THOUGHT he had a nice opening to run the red and proceeded through, he didn't see the motorcycle coming from his left. The motorcyclist hit the car, flew over landing on his head and died instantly.

Stop signs with white trim are optional. LOL! Don't say that to the officer pulling you over though...your fine may double!!:-)
The light is good idea. I've nearly been run over by folks trying to cut across the parking lot trying to beat the traffic jam because of a big rig waiting to turn left. I'm sure the other businesses there will be pleased as well.

"In the 40 years I've been driving, I've never had a single ticket nor accident. I've driven all over the United States and Europe."
...that confirms it. You're one of those Franklinn Countians who putters at 40 in a 45mph zone on Rt-11. Will sit at a stop sign for hours if a vehicle is visable just over the horizon. You'll drive 55 on I-81 in the left lane so avoid "falling rocks". Stop doesn't mean park.
Red lights are for the drivers too insecure in the their abilities and lack of common sense and judgement.

Just because someone has never had a ticket means they "putter around" and sit at stop sign for hours? I don't think so!
Stop being an idiot!
Red lights and stop signs are there for a reason. If you run them, you should get a ticket! Because, every time you do, you are breaking the law.
(I'd love to be back in a uniform for just one week to ticket all the idiots around here run reds and roll stops.)
In case you were wondering, I travel with the flow of traffic. Jerk.

Um Yeah, I would step in, but it seems I would only need to do so if I wanted to take your Queenie-sized foot out of their hineys.
Let it sit for awhile
