Would an Army Surplus store "go over" in Jamestown?

A store that would carry all kinds of items, not just used Army equipment. Something like hunting items, fishing items, paintball items, camping gear, dog tag machine, etc along with the surplus Army items.

What are your thoughts?

As long as the prices were reasonable, I don't see why it wouldn't.

A store couldn't try to "get rich" off of people here but should be able to do OK.

Do you know of one coming in?

Somebody had one about 30 years ago beside the old Arnold Wright's Store and they did OK with it.

Good luck on finding these army surplus items today since the govt wont let any clothing etc out to the public due to terrorist acts and biological warfare going on now in the world.
Also you wont find any army trucks or humvees or other mechanical devices coming back from the Desert war in Irac either due to contamination of diseases and chemicals either.

There are two reasons that most small business do don't do well here.
1. We are a small poor county.
2. Most people don't know how to manage a small business.

I frequent the army surplus store in Cookeville and as far as true army surplus stuff they don;t sell much at all. Army style aftermarket stuff does some but not a booming business.
