There is a war against Christianity, Jesus Christ and our children’s right to express themselves in schools

Report in Highschool on Christianity by 16-year-old Monica – Dr. Laurie Roth’s daughter

- Dr. Laurie Roth
Tuesday, January 22, 2013

This week my 16-year-old daughter Monica was asked in a history class to write a report on Christianity. Below is what she wrote on her own referencing the Holy Bible – the Home base of Christianity, the story of Creation and life of Jesus Christ.

When she turned it in, she was told to rewrite the whole thing because the teacher said the Bible was ‘faithbased’ so she had to refer to Jesus from sources other than the Holy Bible.

Monica’s report isn’t perfect but it is good and to demonize the Bible as ‘faith based’ the most read and sold book in all the world is insane. It has untold manuscripts and sources that have verified its history, events and facts.

Prince George’s considers copyright policy that takes ownership of students’ work

By Ovetta Wiggins,
Published: February 2

A proposal by the Prince George’s County Board of Education to copyright work created by staff and students for school could mean that a picture drawn by a first-grader, a lesson plan developed by a teacher or an app created by a teen would belong to the school system, not the individual.

The measure has some worried that by the system claiming ownership to the work of others, creativity could be stifled and there would be little incentive to come up with innovative ways to educate students. Some have questioned the legality of the proposal as it relates to students.

“There is something inherently wrong with that,” David Cahn, an education activist who regularly attends county school board meetings, said before the board’s vote to consider the policy.

Lawmaker confirms immediate changes in controversial operations

Published: 2 days ago

AUSTIN, Texas – Parents of school children across Texas now are gaining access to a previously secret public school curriculum, according to an announcement from a state lawmaker.

The CSCOPE program, an online offering that until now has prohibited, under penalty of law, teachers from sharing the lessons with parents, stirred up controversy because of its various lessons – some that were taken offline after the questions arose.

Among those issues were that the curriculum at one point taught the Boston Tea Party was an act of terrorism and Christians were cannibals, and forced students to draw a socialist flag while imagining a new socialist country.

Teachers also would have been exposed to criminal penalties for sharing CSCOPE lesson content with parents, and educators were required to teach strictly from the CSCOPE lesson plan, without additions or changes.

School Board Wants To Take Copyrights Away From Students And Teachers

Donna Anderson
February 11, 2013

A proposal under consideration by a school board in Upper Marlboro, MD, is intended to protect the privacy rights of the school district but it may end up stifling creativity.

If it passes, Prince George County Board of Education will own the copyright on all work done by students and teachers, regardless of where that work was performed or for what reason.

The Social Engineering of Texas’ CSCOPE Curriculum
Feb 14, 2013

One would never guess that 875 Texas Schools , public, private and charter have purchased and implemented a Marxist Curriculum called Cscope in their schools.

Our Texas Education Service Centers (ESCs) have formed a Non Profit business called Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC) and they operate out of our State Agency building, use State employees to create and then have the gall to sell their Cscope Curriculum product to Texas public schools.

On top of this, no one is allowed to view the CSCOPE lessons except teachers who had to sign a gag-order not to tell anyone about the content of the lessons.

City University of New York officials raised some eyebrows last week when they revealed that 80 percent of the high school grads who enroll in CUNY can’t read, write, or do basic arithmetic. If you’re a New York City high school grad, that means eight out of ten.

Not to worry: tests administered by the U.S. Dept. of Education show that, nationwide, only 30 percent of eighth-graders in the public schools—that’s just three out of ten—can read like eighth-graders.

Do you still wonder why Obama’s president?

Educational Rot

by Walter E. Williams

American education is in a sorry state of affairs, and there's enough blame for all participants to have their fair share.

They include students who are hostile and alien to the education process, uninterested parents, teachers and administrators who either are incompetent or have been beaten down by the system, and politicians who've become handmaidens for teachers unions.

There's another education issue that's neither flattering nor comfortable to confront and talk about. That's the low academic preparation of many teachers. That's an issue that must be confronted and dealt with if we're to improve the quality of education.

Let's look at it.

Schools Ban Children From Making Best Friends

Posted by Tommy in Blog, News on March 19, 2013 3:43 pm / 3 comments
So this might be the dumbest thing ever done anywhere. Schools in the land of Piers Morgan are now banning children from making best friends. Of course, just like a good nanny state, they are doing this under the guise of ‘protecting them.’ From The Sun:

Teachers are banning schoolkids from having best pals — so they don’t get upset by fall-outs.

Instead, the primary pupils are being encouraged to play in large groups.

Educational psychologist Gaynor Sbuttoni said the policy has been used at schools in Kingston, South West London, and Surrey.

She added:“I have noticed that teachers tell children they shouldn’t have a best friend and that everyone should play together.

“They are doing it because they want to save the child the pain of splitting up from their best friend. But it is natural for some children to want a best friend. If they break up, they have to feel the pain because they’re learning to deal with it.”

Russell Hobby, of the National Association of Head Teachers, confirmed some schools were adopting best-friend bans.

Common Core Standards Will Control You and Your Children

Posted 16 Hours Ago
by Karen Schroeder

American educational system is being federalized through implementation of Race to the Top and Common Core Standards.

Once Common Core Standards are completely implemented, the federal government will have total control of assessment tools and textbooks used in core subjects.

Also, a national data collection system called State Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) will be used to determine a child’s educational opportunities. The federalization of education will turn all school-choice programs into federally approved programs.

Common Core and CSCOPE Education

Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

In the late seventies, Americans were very proud and fiercely protective of their freedoms granted by the Constitution, of the United States, and of their standing in the world as a capitalist nation.

Just the mere notion that someone came from a communist country raised eyebrows and pointed questions about one’s allegiance.

Then on October 17, 1979, President Jimmy Carter signed into law the Department of Education Organization Act, the U.S. Department of Education began operating on May 4, 1980, and things started to change.

People’s patriotic behavior and protectiveness of their culture, of their language, of the capitalist system in general that made them the most prosperous nation on earth, began to erode more and more overtly.

Among the culprits were teachers who advanced personal socialist agendas to impressionable youth who believed every word they said.

Compulsory Schools, Competitive Sports and the State

by Charles A. Burris

The above two extremely wry, witty and acerbic lecture presentations by the late Doctor Eugen Weber demonstrate the intimate connection between the rise of compulsory schools and competitive sports as props in the enhancement of the power of the modern welfare-warfare State.

I have always viewed the modern State's promotion of competitive sports (such as football, tennis, cricket, baseball, basketball, or soccer) as an insidious reintroduction of the ancient Roman concept of "bread and circuses," a diversionary endeavor to manipulate the masses by enhancing their primal aggressive instincts with false loyalties or allegiances to manufactured idols and tribal teams.

Only parents can set their children free from Common Core indoctrination

Judi McLeod

The new battle-cry to save a disappearing Republic should begin with the words:“Set our children free”.

While the President Barack Obama-led Socialist regime in Washington calls the tune by keeping the bouncing ball over the concept of Government-Fighting-Patriots, the real battle is the one where it gets to take over your children.

With all eyes trained expectantly on the latest Obama executive order; with the definition of one man, one woman marriage being rewritten by the Supreme Court, progressives in office have been working out the details to come up with a way to capture your children.

Millions of parents with school-age children will never know their children have been captured and led away. The name of the program set up for the kidnap of all time is so innocent sounding: Common Core. But in typical Marxist fashion, the name can be morphed into a myriad of others when it becomes expedient to keep parents in the dark.

“I am appalled,” said Steven Boibeaux, of Bristol.“It sounds to me like they are trying to indoctrinate our kids.”

Boys get lessons in how to spot 'sluts'

Published: 17 hours ago

Outraged parents say a New York middle school instructed young female students to ask one another for a lesbian kiss – and boys learned how to spot young sluts – in an anti-bullying presentation on gender identity and sexual orientation, according to Fox News’ Todd Starnes.

According to Starnes’ Report, the children attended a special April 11 health class taught by college students at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, N.Y. Parents say they were not notified of the presentation.

The students were introduced to terms such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”

Some of the young female students said they were told it was common for 14-year-old girls to have sex and their parents couldn’t stop them.

Mandy Coon, a mother of an eighth-grade student said,“I am furious. I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s OK for her to have sex?”
