Does anyone know anything about the Deer Lodge clinic?
I ahve been to teh Deer Lodge clinic and I have saw both Faye and Cheryl, they both are very professional women and are really good at what they do. If you do not have insurance their office is on a pay scale, you pay according to your income, very good place, the two sweetest women you will ever meet.

Thanks, I have heard from others that both Faye and Cheryl are very intelligent, kind and caring for the patients there. They do a good service for the folks in the area and yes, even for those who do not have insurance.

I had not heard anything negative about Dr Doug Smith's office. I thought someone said that Gary would be good to go to. Who is Bonnie?

Like I said before, I am not interested in getting pain pills. I just need to find somewhere good to go when and if I get sick.

I am glad that you are not a "want to be" I think that would be a terrible position to be in. It is surprising that you say that you are a "know it all" LOL. Not many people would say that about themselves. Your honesty is admirable or was it meant as a joke? By the way I did hear that Cheryl Black was good looking and no I am not a lesbo...I am a male and enjoy good looking women. Thanks for the advice.

Your comments are very creul. Most everyone says that nurse practitioners take more time with patients than MDs do. They have at least 8 years of college and are federally certified to do what they do. I think that there is a place for everyone and nurse practitioners are in high demand. They also work under the supervision of a MD. If they were a "wanna be" , I 'm sure they would do something else. Evidently they "wanted to be" a nurse practitioner...and they ARE!
Sounds like you possibly "want to be" something that you are not...
I also was just clrifying who cheryl Black was by the description to see if it was who I thought it was.
Supervision of an MD...It is required by law that a doctor who practices in their area of specialty needs to be available for consultation 24/7 and also must review and sign off on all their cases, but maybe someone needs to ask them who is supervising them right now. Things have happened and I understand they do not have a QUALIFIED MD supervising them now.(If so this is against the law.) Nurses can be wonderful and Nurse Practitioners can be wonderful, but if they are not following the law it will not continue to be very wonderful for anyone involved.

This is interesting. How would one know if they are supervised or not and how many of the cases are signed off on? What kinds of "things" have happened there? I have heard that Faye writes alot of pain pills. Is that the problem there?

again, interesting comment. WHo do you think is a TROUBLE MAKER? I truely would like to know about the DeerLodge clinic and other clinics in the area because I do not want to get involved in something that is not on the "up and up". I need a doctor or nurse practitoner in case I get sick I would already have an idea as to where to go. thanks for your help.

thanks Brandi, for your comments about Faye Smith. regardless of what you think she is not a doctor just a NP and is your grandmother. Your opinion could be swayed because of that fact. Also doesn't she have another NP that works with her? Would they also be good to got to?

Faye is not a doctor. She is a nurse practitioner. She has to be supervised by a fully licensed MD.

I worked with cheryl at Challengers and then later IOI she left to further her education and I am glad she choose to practice here close to home because she was always very attentive to the individuals at work and went above and beyond to help take care of any needs or issues.

Doctor Black is no longer at the Deer Lodge Clinic due to cut-backs,so they kept the ones with the most time working there. Faye Smith does not have a good reputation in this community due to her taking her bad moods out on her patients. After Dr. Black left most of the patients are going with her to her new office.By the way, one of the nurses who has been at the clinic for many years told me that the clinic was fixing to close down because noone would see Faye.Cheryl Black saved that clinic at lease for a while. Good luck to you Dr.B wherever you end up.
