Agnostic-One, I have been reading Lynn Sweet online for years. If you go back to some of earlier columns on Obama you can see the trend of avoiding any situation that could be deemed controversial. It makes for some good reading. The nationwide press tends to just give the highlights of a politician like saying Obama voted against the war. He did not - he was not a senator at the time

I don't know, it seems that everytime I turn around there is someone acusing him of being either Too Far Left or avoiding far left votes... It doesn't make sense to me... It seems that he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. What if, and humor me here, what if his daughter really was sick? People like Obama don't get to where they are from avoiding spotlights or being lazy. That is better left to those that get what they got from their parents.

Noone in their right mind would claim that Obama voted against the war. He has voted to continue funding the "troops" every time as far as I know. Which I disagree with. As long as anyone that votes against funding the war is demonized like they don't support the troops by the media and other politicians then congress will never beable to control the purse... Which is their JOB. Another reason I support those few in congress that have stuck to their guns and voted against it.

Agnostic_One, Google the internet sites using Obama's name with John Stroger and Todd Stroger.

Remember the Chicago Daly Machine? Well, Daly could not endorse Obama off the bat because his brother had been a member of Clinton's cabinet.

Now, Stroger is just as corrupt and powerful as Daly.

Obama needsthe connection and as good as you are at researching, maybe you can find a slant that has not been reported and report back to us.

I am going up to Chicago in July for our friend's daughter's wedding at Navy Pier. The Rezko connections will be there. Also politicians. The last soiree I attended with that group was back in October when I was cornered for a very long time with a Washington Representative with her plate of food and her convicted felon husband. She told me at the time she was a friend of Hillary's but was backing Obama. I asked why and she said it was because Hillary couldn't be elected. I asked her if she agreed with Obama's positions and she said " I go for electibility. Some super delegate.
