I am planning on getting the seasonal vaccine, but I am not sure about the H1N1. I am going to ask my doc some question before I even consider it.

Has anybody got it yet?

am not planning on getting any of them. never taken them and never had the flu.

there a 3 yr old in byrdstown that might have it it has not been confirm yet . prey she dosnot have it

for me there is not enough info on the h1n1 for me to get and i am not getting the other one either.

The test for H1N1 takes 15 minutes, and the Byrdstown Medical Center (Dr Mason's building) is able to do all blood work/tests there. So if there's a child in Byrdstown with it, it would have already been confirmed. Also, medical info is still kept private and confidential. So only the doctor and parents would know. The doctor might inform the Health Department or CDC, but no info on who is infected would be given.

The H1N1 Vaccine is a straight up poison. Only the people who will not educate themselves about it or fools will take it.

I got the H1N1 vaccine last Thursday and so far everything is going good.No problems what so ever.

My husband and I took the posion. So far, so good.In all our years of healthcare, we have seen so much. The only way to get a rise out of us is profuse bleeding, clogged airway or someone on fire. (Or if our little grandchildren get a hangnail or maybe a splinter.)lol

Just thought I would let everyone know it's been 4 days since I took the H1N1 shot and I am still feeling great.

I usually get the seasonal, and this year I went ahead and took the H1N1 as well. The vaccine has been proven very safe.

It's only been proven safe by industry standards, what they want you to know. This vaccine has not been tested extensively for future problems. The H1N1 virus is a manmade virus from the 50's. Why on earth are they just now coming out with a vaccine for it? I'll tell you why. This epidemic is worldwide and for good reason. The government and pharmaceutical companies are behind it for profit. It's nothing but propaganda. Some say this also is a way of diluting the population. It all makes sense if you have an open mind and don't believe everything the "professionals" or media say. Do your own research before you just get this vaccine.

Haha, you bunch of conspiracy theorists:) Actually, I have done quite a bit of research, so has my friend who helped develop the vaccine (him did a little more). Taking the vaccine was a well thought-out action that I do not regret.

To begin...Created in the 50s??? Then what was that near identical strain that killed a hundred million in 1918?

The first vaccine for swine flu was developed in the 70s. There are claims that it killed (about 1 in every 1 million doses given), and that it paralyzed some by Guillain-Barre Syndrom (1 in every hundred thousand). This was never proven, and regarless, how is that "thinning the population", why give a vaccine to take out a a few extra hundred when the virus could kill millions? Logic? Anybody?

And as for the components that "can produce lingering serious health problems, and maybe death." YES, just like every other medication, vaccine or otherwise. Nothing is ever 100% safe because when you take a drug, you are introducing a new chemical into your body, which may have an effect on its functionality. Anytime.

As a general rule, I usually try to side with the proof, which is something that these claims lack. As of now, no one has come forward claiming that the new vaccine has caused any adverse effects.

What about the mercury in the vaccines? If there is mercury in them, why can't they find something else to use?

Because of the other components of the flu vaccines, it is highly susceptible to certain intrusive organisms which cause a fungus to grow within the vaccine itself. himerosal is used because it is the most effective preservative to prevent the growth of the fungi.

There was never actually any proof that Thimerosal was dangerous, but it was taken out of most other vaccine about a decade ago simply as a "just-in-case" precaution.

I'm sure they could reformulate the vaccine to exclude Thimerosal, even if it were just to calm people down, but I guess they are taking an "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" (excuse the grammar) appoach.

Is Thimerosal a form of mercury?
