I am researching my Conatser family history and am hoping to locate some Conatser family members who might be able to provide me with information and/or pictures of our ancestors. Can anyone help me locate them?

There is a gazillion Conatsers here. If we knew which line you are from, we might be of more help. There is alo a Genealogy thread on the Fentress County web site. You might also check there.

These may help you get started. The boards are free and you can start your search there. You'll need to list a lot more information than you've posted here.

There is about 5 different "strains" of Conatser in Fentress County. Most go back to a pair of cousins who moved in here from Pennsylvania in the late 1700's.

Thank you so much, all of you. John Palser Conatser was my 4th great-grandfather. I had no idea there were lots of Conatsers around Jamestown. I was expecting to be lucky to find a few. I'll definitely check out those suggestions. Thank you all again!

Are you related to the Conatser branch that is connected to the Cherokee Indian Chiefs?
