For one her name is spelled Tabatha Howard. and for 2 she didnt hang herself, nobody actually knows what happened, its under investigation as of right now. Our family needs all the prayers we can get right now, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.:)
her family is in my heart,i hope justice will be served if it was foul play her mom is a good person my heart breaks for her and her son :,(
Then why is some of her family saying that? I think it is horrible & I wish it didn't happen but if you want to stop that rumor then have her family stop saying it.

I do hope her death is investigated because usually a woman does not hang themselves. Not to trash her memory but she did have drug issues so it is odd that she chose that way rather than overdosing on pills.

Either way, it is beyond sad - esp for her family and friends. I've had several good friends commit suicide and I honestly think God knows what unbearable pain they must have been in to choose that way out.

Maybe her family and friends will set up some type of trust for her young son. Even just a small amount will grow until he reaches 18 & then he could use it for school or something else. If anyone knows if the family chooses that, please let us know.

Of course, it will not bring his mom back & nothing can replace her. My nephew is his age & just the other day he was talking about his late uncle who is in heaven. Just couldn't imagine a child losing there mom that young.

Is there any type of suicide hot-line in Jamestown? If not, there needs to be one after this sad death (if it does turn out to be suicide).

well it not just me that thinks this place is in bad need of a suicide hotline. we need one desparately! there have been so many times when I would have loved to have had one. just someone on the other end of a line to tell me it was all gonna be okay. I dont do drugs but just dealing with the everyday horrors of life in this depressing town is difficult. I can completely understand someone giving up. not saying this lady did I have no idea. This town needs to do something to give hope to the hopeless. If I didnt have my church I dont think I would be here today. God bless us all. Please pray for this family and everyone that is hurt and involved with them.

Yes I've battled depression myself so I know how bad a person can get. It runs in my family and medication has been a big help and also family support but I've seen several family members and friends suffer so much because they could not get counseling or medication. And too, some of their church friends have told them it is wrong and will make them a zombie (I know it is bizarre and stupid assumption). Many times, a person abuses street drugs to deal with depression (many drug abusers have underlying mental issues).
There is such a stigma about depression - it is a chemical imbalance and so many suffer because they do not have the resources or are ashamed to get help. It shouldn't make a person feel weak or inferior and at least stars like Catherine Zeta-Jones are sharing their struggles.

Sorry this has gotten off-topic and my views are general only (not on Tabatha) and if it was suicide I wish she could have reached out to someone. Maybe some of the churches will start a suicide hotline - I myself would volunteer. Maybe Tabatha's death will not be in vain and some positive things can come of it.

If anyone knows anything, they need to contact the police and it maybe best if the family and friends does not give out anymore info because it may hinder the investigation.

Tabby used to run around the Hensley Road/White Oak area. The Police patrol that area but don't seem to care what happens there ie: drug dealers. I hope that the police will talk to some of her running buddies in that area. It might help them figure out what's happened to her and why.

May God reach out to this family .Whatever happen to this young girl is so sad. I do pray that if someone did harm her, it is brought to justice. You never get over the loss of a child. You just have to cope with it on a daily basis.Everyone needs to pray for her mother and young son.I worked with Sherry for many years and she had a hard life herself.May God bless you all.

Not only did a young beautiful woman die, now u have a little boy who has to go through life not knowing his momma, only having pictures and stories to go by. It is horrible and I am so sorry for the family, but mostly for this little child.

I knew Tabatha for a short period of time; in which we became friends. She was used by many men due to her beauty and being naive and she did not deserve what life had handed to her. She had a smile that lit up a room and was always making some kind of joke. I offered to take her home one time when she was running around White Oak rd. She told me she didn't really have one.
I pray that God takes care of her little boy and her family. My prayers are with them. But as for Tabby, I wish that whatever happened to her will come out as the truth and bite some MF in the A** if they caused her any harm!
Was she homeless? That by it's self would cause anyone to be depressed.

I believe she was just staying with people here-and-there. I am sure she had family to go too; but, I did not know her well enough to know them. My personal opinion (which doesn't mean beans) was that she was running from herself - if you can understand what I am trying to express. Don't get me wrong, I think it tragic what has happened and I respect her, her son, and her family. NO BAD KARMA from me. I just tried to help her once.

I agree it is odd the choice but best to let the suspect blurt out info instead of clamming up. No disrespect to you but if family & friends start giving out info it may hinder the investigation.
And do not reveal anymore info in case the suspect may come after you. Just looking out for your safety & I pray for her family and friends.

Isn't suicide a sin? The devil wins on suicide.
