i clicked one of your links. it is at least not a hateful website, but i still disagree with its positions.

i don't know what causes people to be gay. it might be genetic, it might be an imbalance of testosterone or estrogen during pregnancy. i do know that sexual orientation is not a choice.

why would anyone choose to have homosexual tendencies? if sexual orientation is nothing but a choice, then there is absolutely no positive outcome to be had for choosing to be gay. nothing but persecution and scorn and being labeled as abnormal, not to be accepted in 'normal' society. soooo...why would anyone choose that over the alternative?

Sin can take a person further than they have ever intended...The Bible says that sin can be fun for a season.
I stated before this part of the website...

The medical and scientific evidence suggest that indeed, there is no such thing as "homosexuality," in the sense of genetic determination. Indeed, some in the homosexual community are now acknowledging that there is no "gay gene.
Those who insist on a genetic cause must answer an obvious question. Whenever we hear of someone who says that so-and-so was "born gay," we ask, "Which parent did he inherit his homosexuality from?" Obviously, homosexuals do not propogate themselves. Wouldn't natural selection have eleminated any gene that resisted propogation from the population?

Here is more they have to say about that..

Then what does cause homosexual tendencies? Many who have counselled people who practice homosexuality are convinced that in most cases there has been a serious and extreme loss of confidence in own's manhood (or womanhood). This may have been the result of extremely detached parenting (especially from the father), from some other person who had a major influence at a young age, childhood sexual encounters, accusations from peers about one's lack of athletic abiltiy or sensitivity, etc. In the case of a female, a high athletic ability, overweight, or certain other physical features can also limit their ability socially with the opposite sex—and they may conclude that lesbianism is the only alternative. In this day and age when homosexuality is accepted in many circles, experimentation may actually lead to ingrained behavior.

If it is an imbalance of some hormones, then you would think it would be easy to treat since there is hormone therapy going on now for other issues..
Sin can drag you so far down that is is tough to get out of.

Here is more from the site about it.

Those in the gay lifestyle can and do come out of it. Various studies show that success rates of those wanting to leave the lifestyle range from 30% to 70%. It is, no doubt, difficult to leave the lifestyle. One reason it is so difficult is because of its addictive nature.
Even if it were shown that there is a genetic component to homosexuality, that would still not make it right. Compare, for example, alcoholism. It is generally believed that there is an inherited tendency for alcoholism. But that inherited tendency does not condone the behavior, nor does one who inherits the trait necessarily become addicted to alcohol. Society tries to compassionately help those caught in that addiction. While difficult, many people inflicted with alcoholism are successful in reforming their lives.

Depression is another illness that is apparently often genetically related. But again, the source of the illness does not dictate our attitude toward it.Thanks for checking some of it out..It is not a hate site..I deplore those sites. Most people that condone homosexuality will not even click on my sources. They will just cuss me out,and tell me off..
Have a great evening.

Suicide isn't the answer to anything. That isn't facing the problem that's adding to it because your family will likely wonder why you committed suicide. You have a couple of options. First, if you come from a close knit family and they truly love you they will accept you no matter what and if not then they won't, but that's not too terrible either because even if they get angry about the situation they can't change it. Eventually they'll have to accept or just not talk about it. Second, you could save money and move, Jamestown is a pretty community, but all the gossiping, rumors, and backstabbing make it an awful place to live anyway. Just remember that suicide isn't the answer to your problem or any other for that matter.

You are a stupid fool! If you only knew how much effort I put into changing myself and how hard I prayed and begged God to change me, you would not take the attitude you take. I would give anything to be normal and it looks like the only answer to my problem is ending it once and for all. Although, I have no plans to commit suicide, it passed my mind as a child and I know the commonality of teens who commit suicide for these reasons is staggering. People who just want to condemn without sympathy are not Christians. You may claim it, but your hearts are far from it. And I sincerely believe that when you are judged, you will hear the same words as any other sinners, "depart from me, ye workers of iniquity. I never knew you!"

Never kill yourself to make some religious fool happy! Do what makes you happy and tell the rest to bite your buttocks! I don't care if you're black, white, gay, straight, Asian, or a monkey, if you're good to me, I'll be good to you. But I don't blame it on "God's will," I call it the basic of moral code. Some have one! Some don't! Forget those who aren't worth your time, and if it makes them unhappy that you are alive, I hope you live forever! Live long and prosper!

Should people ever consider suicide? If you know you're gay and living in a househould where you will never be accepted and you've exhausted all resources while trying vehemently to change, should you just kill yourself? Certainly, the "acceptable" part of society hates you, and secretly most of them are wishing you were dead, so why not just give them what they want? I'm curious to what you think.

The God of the Bible is not merely a God of love and forgiveness. God has characteristics of love AND justice (among others). Jesus, for example, warns about hell more than any other biblical figure! We must not underestimate the holiness of God, who demands right conduct—in fact, perfection (Matthew 5:48). For examples of the wrath and judgment of God, read: Genesis 2:17; 2 Kings 17:18; Psalm 74:1, 79:5, 90:11; Proverbs 10:16; Micah 7:9; Zephaniah 3:8; Matthew 5:29, 7:13, 25:46; Romans 1:32, 2:8, 6:23; Acts 3:19; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Galatians 6:7-8; Philippians 3:19; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; James 1:15; and Revelation 20:12-15.

There are those who suggest that God is merely a God of love and accepts people just as they are. Certainly that is incorrect. God does not accept us as we are. He demands repentance. We must not create a God to suit ourself. This is idolatry which is a violation of the Second Commandment.

The very character of God is love, but folks he is no doormat. When one merely quotes what the bible says, that is not judging. I do not have to deal with homosexuality, but sin is sin and I have plenty that I am guilty of.

Yes, you can sin all you want to after you get saved. The thing, about really being saved is, you will not want to sin. I do believe we ALL sin, but a born-again person does not wallow in it. You cannot help a bird flying over your head, but don't let him build a nest there.

Good to see you are still posting..I agree with your post..A truly saved person will still sin,but he/she will not want too. When a true Christian sins,it will bother him/her a lot,and they will repent, and not wallow in it,as you stated..Even a good Christian will sin just about every day,but he/she will repent, and seek Gods grace, and direction in their lives.I really love your last sentence.Have a great day.

Saved? Possible, but not likely.Only 2 know for sure and that is God,and that person..As stated before,a true Christian will not want to sin,and especially wallow in the sin..To be a practicing gay person would be wallowing in the sin..A Christian that sins will eventually repent of his sins..The definition of repentance is...means a sincere turning away, in both the mind and heart , from self to God.

please don't commit suicide... GOD LOVES YOU.
I know sometimes it seems like the best way. I have thought about suicide many times and attempted it once. I was abused as a child and the enemy got a stronghold in my life. I also grew up in churches filled with gossips and hate. I wanted nothing to do with GOD because of it. I went out and did the things that the world said would make me happy but when I was alone I was more miserable than before. the enemy wants you to think that GOD IS NOT HAPPY WITH YOU and that HE is punishing you. that's not true God loves you and has a wonderful purpose for your life.
I am now a Christian and I love God and have a relationship with him. as I began to focus on my relationship with him he chanced my desires. and gave me a beautiful life. I still have the religious hypocrites talking ugly about me but they were ugly to JESUS too.
so please don't commit suicide and please don't judge GOD by the so called Christians that say they follow Him.
you can tell a true Christian by the fruit they bear in other words watch there actions. there are some really good ones here too.
