Rancher wanted me to comment on here so I will. A female should be able to be a cop if they can go through exactly the same training as men. I know of many women who can complete the training just like men. I do feel that "percentage wise" there will be less qualified women than men because of the general difference in physical make up of women compared to men. If a female can complete the same training as a man then I would feel very comfortable that a female cop comes to help me in whatever situation I may be in. I have met some female cops who I have no doubt can handle themselves in any situation.

Well, at least you admit the obvious, there is a physical difference in women and men that makes it more difficult for them. I believe they do not belong in those jobs period, end of story. But that is just my opinion, everyone has to be so touchy about it.
There is nothing I can do to change it. I don't call law enforcement under any circumstance anyway, so it's not my problem.

I guess you guys believe women should be Major league baseball players and football players next huh?

Nobody is saying there is not a difference between men and women. Yes, the average man is stronger than the average woman. If law enforcement and the military went on pound for pound strength, most of the men would get their butts kicked by other men they have to deal with, but it does not. There is far more to being in those two professions than strength. Yes, you need it. But it is part of the picture, not the entire picture. Yes, it is your opinion, but you show absoutly no evidence or studys to support your position, which I say it is just prejudice on your part. Baseball players and football players pound for pound do require a massive amount of strength along with skill at what they do. But, they could not do it without the big part of their job, strength. You are compairing apples to oranges. Most male police could not be a football player either. By your own admission, you "don't call law enforcment for any reason" so how can you judge without knowledge? You know nothing about being a police officer/military and you are assuming strength is most of the job.

thay was some female cops here about 15 yr ago but thay had to get a law suit thay didn't last long after thay wone the case thay was 2 of them
