I thought we were only getting 300 per person , but according to this calculator i will get 2400. The calculator link is halfway down the page and there is also a section on check mail dates. I thought this might be useful LINK .http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/a rticle/0,,id=180247,00.html

The best I can tell you get 600. each per couple = 1200. then 300. times the number of exemptions on your tax return, in my case 4 that would be 1200. more> We are A family of 4. Also your taxable income needs to be under75,000.

I am a stay-at-home mom, and I got nothing. My husband and 2 kids got money, but nothing for me. That's why I was asking all of your opinions. I think a "couple" should include us moms, even though we work at home.

ok I think it says if you made at least 3,000 for the year and its a couple gets 600 total not 1200 per couple and then its 300 for each child ---the guy who said he was a family of 4 should get back 1200 total from the way i understand it thats 300 for him 300 for his spouse 300 for one child and 300 for the next

Income under $3000 and those receiving Soc. Sec./disability/SSI:

$300 Per person. That equals $600 for a couple plus $300 per kid.

Income $3000 and above:

$600 for a single person.
$1200 for a couple.
$300 per child.

"Cant think of a Name", if you were on the tax return with your husband then you should have been counted.

Yup, my name was on the tax return. My husband got $600, and our 2 children got $300 each. Me, I guess the government considers to be dead weight, because I'm not out here working 50 hours a week at a job, paying half of my pay check to the government, and paying someone else to raise my children.
I'm not in need of the money......well, I guess we're all in need of it.....but I'm not upset that I didn't get the money. I'm just highly insulted that us stay-at-home moms aren't considered equal or hard working.

Why did the IRS even have the word "couple" in the details about the Stimulous Package? It should be......"$600 for each adult who made over $3,000, and $300 per child under 17."

I don't understand this deal one bit. They tell us one thing, then when the checks start arriving, they are less than the amount that was supposed to be sent in the first place. I think that the government should state things on their website EXACTLY as it is going to be and not mislead you into thinking that you are going to get more than you actually receive. We have a dear older gentlemen friend and he says that he will believe it when it is in his hands. He has been here and seen lots of things that are supposed to happen that never did, so he feels that it is only true when it is in your hands and I am very much begining to completely agree with him..........

They said on the news last night that there were problems with the amounts that the checks were actually issued for...and that they were going to have to research it to see if it needed to be corrected. I don't know who this affects exactly, but just thought this information might be helpful. I do know for a fact that a lot of people have already received their stimulus payments, my brother has and many of the people that I work with have. So, have faith! I know it is hard!
