I am needing several loads of Mulch for my landscaping, I prefer the dark, almost black. Does anyone know where I can get some. And do you know the price? Thank you

That makes two of us.....delivered. Walmart has some nice stuff by the bag, real dark, almost black and it is great but pricey if you have much to do as I do. The color is suppose to last 6 months with little fade.

I can pick it up myself.

Rancher...I have bought the bags from Wal-mart in the past. Takes too many, cost too much. Prefer to get it by the truck load. Thanks

I must have phrased my post wrong, I'm looking for mulch also. I brought up Walmarts mulch because it is so nice, but you pay for it. I can pick it up but I would rather have it delivered. I did get a trailer load at Baldwin's lumber a few years back. They were making their own. I don't know if they still are. It was OK.

What I do, I have the tree cutting people to dump a pile of mulch onto my property whenever they're in this neck of the woods cutting trees. There's several people who cut trees and then there's also the electric company. I have never been charged a penny for this. The mulch is always free and they seem happy to be rid of it, getting to dispose it without driving it to a remote location or whatever they do with it.
The next time I get a load, I plan to make it into the black mulch, like what they sell in stores for boo-coos of money. From my understanding, they mix regular mulch with carbon black. Seems fairly easy, doesn't it? I'm gonna give it a try. The only thing that I'm going to be out, is the price of the carbon black.

I think carbon black is like soot. I bet you could get some at Parker Charcoal. Or maybe crush some charcoal, mix it with the mulch, add water and mix it all together in a wheel barrow.

it'd be quite a drive for you folks (I live in the middle of Oneida and Jamestown) but there is a great place going into oneida it is 14 dollars for a tractor scoop (which is almost a Toyota truck load) for the dark the red is a couple of bucks more.

You can get Mulch at the wood yard, located close to the Armory for $30 a Bobcat scoop.

They have the dark, red and sawdust color.
