Not saying i am sympathetic or that he is a poor guy at all, he made his choices, and he has to live with the results...his reasonings are what they are, whether we agree with them or not, he made his choices based on his own reasonings. Everyone has the right to make their own choices, and follow whatever paths they choose to take...he made his, and will live with the results, I just disagree with what some people are saying should happen to him in jail is all...he is no different than any other person that has taken a life, yet he is crucified in here, as if he is the only one that has even done this, must be because they are all up standing citizens and support the local police and never do anything wrong themselves. That is the only logical thing that makes sense to me, because they are all above any type of crime according to their posts, and so are all their family members.i love how people on here act as if bucky was some sort of poor victim. poor guy was always told he would be nothing....poor guy was provoked by the police...poor guy got ratted on by someone...
give me a break. i know people who also had very poor upbringings and haven't gotten in trouble to the point they had to be locked up. he had a choice whether to follow this path in life or not.

1 Yes --yes, I understand now..The system made him escape, it is their fault. Then they provoked him into shooting a cop in the face, again their fault. Thank you for clearing this up, sorry about my graphic language- but you see....it's not my fault. The criminals made me do it. |

Phester hit the nail on the head as always ! He tells it like it is... like or not! Phillips went from a break in artist and low rent criminal , to a Murderer ! I don't care if it was a cop or an immigrant, what's done is done and life in prison would be to good for him!!!!! |
|
Which one was shot in the face by Phillips. I heard one was in the abdomen in chemung, one in the leg, in Bear Lake, and the other in Bear lake I heard was a back shot or something. Where did you hear one was shot in the face? I could be wrong, and do apologize if I am, but this is the information I thought I read in the papers. They system did not provoke him, some of the corrections officers did! They did not make him escape, that was his choice. I cant respond anymore than I have to the shot in the face comment, because I do not know that it is true in any way, since I do not remember reading or hearing that anywhere including the news. |

I had to go find the facts again online after the statement was made by phester that "Then they provoked him into shooting a cop in the face, again their fault."
So here is what I got, and the link is attached for those that might want to reread some of the facts: Brown was hit in the abdomen, apparently more toward the side since his bullet proof vest did not protect the area of entry. Trooper Will put Brown in the patrol car, and took him to St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Brown underwent emergency surgery that same day. Doctors recovered the bullet, fired from a .38 caliber. By the next day, he was declared in fair condition, and was released after four days. Baker was shot in the back, and the bullet made its way through his bullet-proof vest and exited through the abdomen, while Longobardo was shot in the leg, severing an artery. Baker was taken to Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania while Longobardo was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Both men arrived in extremely critical condition. http://www.talkingproud.us/LawEnforce100806.h... Article title is : New York State Police Troopers, a place on a long line of heroes So please Phester, try not to confuse someone elses crimes with Mr. Phillips, he gets enough credit for things that he really did do. |

OMG...
Here ya go. I can see hyperbole and/or common sense news escapes you. I have made nothing up..He shot THREE troopers, Brown was shot IN THE FACE by bucky..Like it or not. ~~~~BUFFALO---Ralph "Bucky" Phillips told a judge in state Supreme Court in Erie County Thursday that he was "guilty as hell" of escaping from the Erie County Jail in April where he had been a week away from completing a sentence for a minor parole violation. He escaped by using a can opener to pry open a roof vent in the kitchen area of the prison. He has also been charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution based on his escape. Phillips was on the run for over five months during which time he has admitted that he shot three state troopers, one of whom died. Phillips appeared in the Chemung and Chautauqua County Courts earlier this week, admitting to shooting and wounding Tpr. Shawn Brown during a traffic traffic stop in June in Chemung County. He pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated murder in the shooting of Brown, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, a 1995 Mustange. He will be sentenced Dec. 20.~~~~ |

Phester: All of that is in the article I posted at the link above and so is the information I posted. He did not shoot Trooper Brown in the face. Trooper Brown was shot in the abdomen according the the NYS Police documents. He was shot and I quote from that article " Brown was hit in the abdomen, apparently more toward the side since his bullet proof vest did not protect the area of entry. Trooper Will put Brown in the patrol car, and took him to St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Brown underwent emergency surgery that same day. Doctors recovered the bullet, fired from a .38 caliber. By the next day, he was declared in fair condition, and was released after four days." So if your going to make statements and call people ignorant, please have the correct facts. My quote was taken from an article about all troopers shot in the line of duty in that year. It clearly states where Trooper Brown was shot, and how severe his wounds were. Yes Bucky did admit to, and if my memory serves me right, he did it with a smug smile on his face in an open courtroom. I am not in support of him, I am merely saying that people do not post the facts in here. Even your article that you just posted does not say that he shot Brown in the face. If it did, you would have pasted that as well. Read the article at the link I provided in this post. Phillips is one of many people that have committed the crime of shooting an officer of the law. He admitted guilt, and will pay heavily for the crimes he committed. I would have never commented back to you in the first place, except for the fact that some of your comments were beyond graphic to the imagination and visual aspect of the human mind. There are many comments you have made that I may very well agree with, but can not continue to read because of this nature of posting. Understand that I am not disagreeing that if he did do these crimes, and we all know he confessed to them, then he belongs behind bars. No one has the right to do unto others what they would not expect done to them. I am not ignorant to the obvious, or to the articles posted about the obvious. I also have to tell you that I lived right down the road from some of the people that were in question of harboring him throughout the ordeal, and it was in Cassadaga. Same road, within a 1/2 mile of my house. I went through road blocks daily, and not one but several on my own road in a matter of a mile. I lived this just like anyone else. I had chopper headlights shining in my bedroom windows, officers in my woods and in front of my home as well. My children had their purses and lunches checked if they walked to the beach - for the police department believed every one in the town was assisting in some way. We were not, I do not know the man. I do know that I was more in fear of the officers in my woods, after the Horton boy was shot than of Phillips in my woods, if he was there at all. I never seen him in the vicinity of my home at all. I am not picking a fight with you, just stating that the papers do not say the he shot Trooper Brown in the face, they according to the NY State Police statements made public, state that he was shot in the abdomen, in an unprotected area of the vest he was wearing. |

OMG,
Sorry to see that you had to endure all of that during the manhunt for bucky. It was my understanding that when Trooper Brown stopped bucky, he shot out of the car window hitting Brown in the face/front... It WAS in the abdomen I see and I stand corrected. Thank you. |
Misunderstanding and apology understood and accepted. Have a good day! |

In regards to Rusty Shackleford, Bucky was friends with retards. I find it ironic that most people who feel Bucky deserves prison hate retards and don't have any for friends.
Retard and proud. I went to Special Ed. I was in Special Olympics. I was in a grouphome at one time for The Mentally Retarded. In regards to reginald muffhaggler, everybody reacts to upbringings differently. My friend Mary had a bad childhood. She is a very nice lady and loves the cops. She obeys all the laws. The Lord today was teaching me that what looks like a sin to us may not really be a sin. I felt what Bucky did was a sin but a decent sin. A rather small sin. A sloppy sin. No. It was a reflection of his pain. His broken and crushed heart. |

Wish I could write more but I got a big mouth and space is limited when writing opinions. I also am on my way to church. I just find it very unfair that Bucky is rotting away in prison. I had sent him a hundred dollars so he could buy a noodle and he sent it back. I think he feels he doesn't deserve anything good and he really thinks he's evil. However, I got banned from my church 5 years ago. I sent the pastor a hundred dollars in the mail and he politely thanked me but said I am still barred from the church. He felt he deserved that money because he is so good and not at all like Bucky Phillips. Bucky is a very spiritul person and more Christian than those nice Christians at church. I wish I could reason with Albany to let the poor guy out of prison. I wish there was something I could do for him to advocate for his freedom. I know I have hurt Bucky and his family and friends in the past but I always pray for all of them and would like to help out somehow. I cry all the time because Bucky is in prison. It isn't fair. Over one lousy act which I had called "sin" and for so long.

I have read your comments and opinions on Bucky and criminals. I shall try not to bash you. I will pray for you. We obviously see criminals diffrently. I personally find it more of a challenge to get along with nice law-abiding citizens than criminals. They sweet talk more, knit pick, beat around the bush, play more games. It is harder to tease out what they say and understand where they are coming from. Hanging out with law-abiding citizens is not the end of the world but it can really boggle your mind. Criminals are more real. What they do and say is more cut and dry and easier to understand. Not all this mangle tangle with words and hints and cues. They tell it like it is. They keep it real. I shall keep you in prayer hardcore. |
|
How exactly did you hurt Bucky and his family and friends? And I have a step son, that has just recently returned from a prison upstate NY for burglary, and although you believe that they have changed completely, it is only a matter of time before they start showing signs of their old ways. although the burglary part seems to be done for now, he is still over enjoying his freedom, which will likely land him back in jail in the long run for parole violation. You say Bucky is a very spiritual person, many that live in the system are, but when they are released they forget that spirituality, at least the ones that I have known. They sound all positive about the LORD and their beliefs, and then day by day goes by when they are not reading the good book any longer because they have better things to do. As for sending him $100 and crying for him all the time, unless its your burden to bear, and you committed the crimes that he is behind bars for, you should let it go. He does not WANT your money... its not that he thinks he doesnt deserve it! There are legal funds out there I am sure that you could contribute it to in his name. Last I heard there was a group of people rallying for his release or aquital or something, try contacting them and making a donation, unless of course you don't want to put your physical appearance in the whole picture, in case someone in the group recognizes you. You can pray for him, you can send him cards, but you don't need to send him money. |

Dan..Yah Bucky! Lemme kiss your ass4 you...Because I am a complete idiot. Springer..Hey Bucky, tell the folks how you shot 3 State Troopers in cold blood for the glee of your adoring fans. |
|
dauren, if you think that bucky killing a man, who was a father, and shooting two others and stealing from multiple people is a small and decent sin, the no wonder you got banned from your church. in fact, it sounds like you should have never been let out of the group home.

Actually, I was replying to a retard comment by someone else. I guess you're not that big on reading either. What greater sin is there than murdering someone? |

1 I agree. It's too bad that he's breathing. It's unfair to the families of those he shot. |
