A whole week? really? It happened a WHOLE week before the game????how long did this kid get suspended? Of course you're going stick up for whitey he's one of yours!!! Others in that same room saw Zach pick him up and slam him against a wall and knock the crap out of him! Hell and let me guess YOU were in the principals office while this kid was swearing?? You saw that first hand did ya? Ya little cracker...
Ohhh and btw I'm with a white man and don't even come close to collecting a welfare check! But others in this depressed and disgusting town DO! How many players on that team that pretty boy plays with are on welfare and have white mothers that prefer black men? Ohhhh now don't you sound like a dumb ass! Bottom line... Zach got away with something, this other kid didn't.... Up
No you fat bitch. You still are the dumb ass. I was there - you weren't! He did slam him, but did not hit him. He should have knocked his teeth out. Let me repeat this point-the kid stole his money. I would have dropped him right there if it was my money. I give credit to Z for not busting his face. This kid also has a rap sheet as long as your monkey arms. Typical welfare scum, always trying to stick up for poor Johnny. Thats why so many kids are screwed up in our society. Parents like you. If you started parenting and not defending your kid all the time, we would be in a much better place. Oh and by the way, ask the resource officer at the school about how he acted in the office. Zing fat bitch loses again.

Fat bitch? I probably weigh less than your girlfriend.... White as the driven snow.... A student in college... No black children.... Not on welfare, in fact I bet you probably know who I am! If you hang with Zach then in a round about way we are in the same circle.
Not sticking up for a welfare child, pointing out that not ALL are as advantaged as Mr. All American. Have you ever lived in a disadvantaged home? You're a product of your environment and this kid obviously lives what he learned! Who's to blame him or HIS parents? If your an adult sticking up for Zach (like a coach or gym teacher) then your just as bad as this kid you're tearing apart!

As a graduate of JHS it is not a matter of rich or poor to be on the team, its favoritism. They could get arrested, caught drinking, or even fail and STILL able to play basketball. They all think they are gods and it disgusts me. And I LOVED JHS!

It's not about my child, it's about the childeren of numerous friends who are are good in school and get good grades and never in trouble.Their only downfall is that their not rich. When you have money you don't have to try out like everybody else, you made it automatically.
How can a coach bring a player from a larger division school down here to play and expect him to play for jhs this year. Isn't that what was cried about when it came to Jaysean? What about atheletes who don't always have to have passing grades to play. If their failing horribly and never hand in homework, they can still start as long as their scoring points. So far 3 are failing and still are on a team. I don't care what anybody says in response to this because i've seen it happen. Jamestown is the worst i've ever seen when it come to sports politics.
The rules usually state the student failing can practice but not play they are still on the team. If something else is going on report it in writing to the BOE.

You all sound like idiots and your posts contradict yourselves. You say kids who are failing can play, and you also say it doesn't matter if you're good as long as you have money. Pretty sure those with money wouldn't be failing all their classes, so obviously those kids who are failing are playing just because they're good. I believe they are all about winning, even if kids are failing, but I really don't think they'd take a rich kid over someone who could get them a win.
I agree... They mentioned jaysean...hes not rich and neither are his parents... But he always started when he was here. Theres no school youll find that will start the good kids who dont have as much talent because they want to win. Football team does the same stuff. People are just bitter that their kids arent the best. Get over it, thats life.

For some parent's bitterness has nothing to do with it as far as JHS is concerned. Yes if your good you get to play..but if you dare outshine the coaches pet your benched. It doesn't matter if your the better player or not.
Unfortunately, if you have status in the community or have money...then your looked at as a potential donator/sponsor..and your kid or kids automatically make the team. Regardless if they play good or not and without trying out hard like others had too certain kids are favored. They are put on a pedestals and other kids who are better ride the bench. You can deny it all you want or you can witness for yourself this season.

How funny it is hering about the JHS basketall program. I to believe someone should investigate. The head coach takes the money from the youth wrestling team. A future wrestling program has to rent its space in the old gym. Tell me he doesn't turns it into his B-ball program. It's been like that for years, years and where has the money gone. I moved out of Jtown. The politic and the clicky groups are so rediculous.
I will always bleed green and tear red and my Raider Pride is of the charts. I'm sorry to say the city of Jamestown has run it's self into the ground. I wish my kids could have seen the good that has once come out of that town and school systems.

The stupidity on Topix continues. The jealousy of some people is ridiculous. One player I know people are refering to when they talk about money being what drives decisions for the team is the point guard, who happens to be one of the best players in western New York.

Face facts: Most of you posting crap have kids who just aren't that good. It's not junior high basketball anymore, it's high school ball on a team that's focused on blowing through their league schedule and advancing through the playoffs.

As for your claims on money and the other BS, either provide some evidence and follow up with the school board or high school athletics commision or shut the hell up.

I know who your talking about..he's a great kid but I dont think people were referring to him. He's a great player but no where near as good as Jaysean. I don't think we'll see that level of play come out of JHS again.
Lastly, jealousy has nothing to do with the ignorance that comes out of the basketball program.

Haters?? Oh you must be kidding me right?? Their mom and step dad have done an awesome job raising them and thats what makes them good respectable kids. They are great in sports..and have discipline but don't you dare take credit for what their MOM has done.
As far as asking any coach in the area..lol your not the one here at their games or practices. So I'm pretty sure they know where the credit goes.
Cough cough Zach Eklum got in to a fight before the JHS game in Buffalo and still got to play cough cough... Hmmm what happened to the school policy???
I attended last nights Jhs football banquet and met Zach Eklum for the first time as this was his first year playing football. When the coach read through all his accomplishments on the field and off and his hours of community service I was thoroughly impressed. He truly embodies all the qualities that any parent would ever dream of. When the football coaches announced that he had been chosen by section 6 out of 84 high schools and over 100 kids to be this years sec 6 scholar athlete of the year I was impressed to say the least. I find it unfortuate that you or anyone would try to slander a young man of this caliber. I was also impressed at what he had to say when he stepped to the podium to give his senior speech. I found him very genuine, mild mannered and sincere. This kid money or no money is the nicest and most polished young man i have ever met. I am sure if this so called fight that you talk about occurred it was provoked by someone who wishes that they could measure up to the countless credits and integrity that Zach Eklum possesses. Everyone put your jealousy aside and give credit to those kids that deserve it. Cudoos to his parents for raising this outstanding individual.
