It seems the tax base isnít enough so we need grants left and right. Prolly not a good idea to add low income non taxible housing into dunkirk

Non taxable housing you mean? In fact the housing you speak of will be on the tax rolls. Where is it you get your information?

Not yet set in concrete however that does not change the inaccurate statement by Mr Dksu. Do you mean the per 1K rate? There are many variables involved as you are aware therefore a percentile comparison would not present an comparable picture.

There should be NO variables!!! This type of development pays about one half of the taxes it should and further taxes already limited resources, police fire garbage water and on and on. If you are going to build a bunch of duplexes then that could work, building neighborhoods. But if your going to build one or two large buildings with multiple multiple multiple tenants in each building then you are making a HUGE MISTAKE. Its not fair to surrounding neighbors or the people who will ultimately live there, herding people like cattle in a huge complex is not fair treatment to them. At least pay 100 percent of taxable value to be fair to other taxpayers

Letís not forget the fact that the true reason Jamestown keeps building HUD Housing, is so the population doesnít fall below that magic number, which will cause her to lose her city status, therefore, federal funding. Build more welfare housing, and they will come. I donít know what Iím talking about? Research Niagara Falls.

There will always be variables such as the number of stories, whether single or duplex, lot size, etc etc. Saying there should be no variables means what? Is your home assessed the same as your neighbor,is your interior sq footage the same as your neighbors. Do you have a garage and is it if so a single or double. Do you have a porch,a patio, an outdoor fireplace etc etc. Do you qualify for STAR or advanced STAR? What is it you mean by paying " 100 percent of taxable value"? If you wish to have a civil discussion I'm all in, if not than count me out, fair enough?

Yes there will be variables, like how much the assessor gets paid off, how much city politicians get paid off, etc

If you know of any of which you state to be true, by all means bring it to the attention of proper authorities.
