People already have enough to worry about when shopping for their families right? You shouldn't have to check for expiration dates of products your looking to purchase but this sues does seem to be the case.
I called corp office about this 3 months ago about an item that was on shelf that was expired by 4 plus months. Please beware of this and check the dates of the products your looking to buy, food poisoning is no joke, but TOPS sure could care less.
I'd like to know what the Dept. managers are being payed for? The job is not being done properly. Here's an idea, pay the managers less for not doing their jobs and pass the savings on to the customer? Yeah right, in a perfect world. SHAME ON YOU TOPS!

I live right down town in in a really nice place, I'm obviously not scum. I go to Foote when I need quick things and I go to Washington when I need more variety and gas. Primarily I shop at wegmans and Sam's but if I run out of something or need something last minute I do tops.
I too have found expired merchandise. I love Greek yogurt, I eat one a day! I buy them when it's 10 for 10 but I learned to watch the dates after bringing home 3 expired, 1 expiring the next day, and 1 expiring in 3 days.

I have my masters, 2 jobs, and live in America. I have every right to eat and complain about food poisoning. Those with no right to complain are those who get food for free and even then they shouldn't get spoiled food.

That wasn't relevant. It could have been a lie just to slander Tops. Besides who shops there anyways besides scum?

I work in jamestown and its convenient for me to shop at Tops. Parking at wegmans is a pain. It's always crowded. I have never received government assistance of any kind and make $83,000 a year, not including bonuses. I would trust that ANY grocery store, no matter it's location, should be more cognizant of the shelf life of its food. Especially a chain such as Tops.

You all sound like a bunch of whiney little girls. Get off public assistance and get jobs then you can shop at wegmans with the rest of us.

Obviously I would never post such an ignorant comment like this. This person has used a capital "i" to imitate me. Tops is a great grocery chain, sure they make mistakes, but even Wegmans has made mistakes, we all do.
