I don't live in the city but I've gone to Jamestown Auto Center on Fairmount in Lakewood. It's run by a very honest and down-to-earth manager, although I don't recall his name.

I went there after getting tired of being scammed by MONRO which is right next door.

I second Page's assertion that there are family-run garages to be found that are much cheaper and more honest than the chain service stations.

Carlson's car care center in Busti runs a pretty honest place most people probably agree with this.

Lobb's on the corner of Foote Avenue and Camp street is a good solid garage. Randy is the owner and he will work with you and does not do anything unnecessary repairs. Dom's mobil is ok as well just as long as you ask for Dom personally.

Boy oh boy..... A good car repair place in the Jamestown area? good luck! Yet another reason, to add to the list, as to why Texas is sooo much better. I will start with a quick story. Last year I was in my hometown "Jamestown", Visiting some relatives. When the A/C pully froze up on my new boyfriends 02 Escalade. Once devon, "My Boyfriend" hung up the phone with his baby mama. "You know the drama". We were able to see what broke on the truck. And brought it right to the repair shop. We wound up being somewhat close to Johnson's Keystone in Lakewood (Fairmount Ave). When first entering the garage, we were greeted by an older guy named Ray. I believe it was the owner of the garage. He said the new A/C pully was going to cost $650.00 installed. I told him I was unable to fork that much over at the time, and if he gave us the time. My boyfriend would unload some of his mirchandise and return with more money. He said it would be ok if we worked out the payment in another way... And if you guys get online and look up repair shops in Texas. We have one of the largest full scale repair facilities in the country! 4 stories of 50 bays per story. Another reason why Texas is great and Jamestown is lame!

Jamestown auto center is the worst I took my car there the owner tried telling me I needed 8 hundred dollars worth of work I took it te Goodyear all it needed was a break line that and after the fact I found out the owner of other shop doesn't even have benefits for his employees and has even told people with piercings or intensive ink they were not welcome in his business events paying customers.

I live in Australia, we got a garage where you can get your vehicle worked on for next to nothing. I suggest that next time molly has tire going flat swing over to outback. I think your triple A will cover the towing from Houston. We are hoping you can find a mate to communicate with over there. possibly some aborigine. It would be a great relief for locals here.

I like tanners garage on Steele st. They are very honest and always willing to help. It seems like they just drop everything to help u whenyou walk though the door. They have very good mmechanics. The owner actually works in the garage with his employees. They always call me with an estimate before they do work and never goesover estimate ggiven. Busiest shop in town. Every time I drive by there is always a full parking lot and then if u drive by after 530 all the cars are gone. Best shop in Jamestown if u ask me

I've been taking all my vehicles to Newarks for years. Dave and Josh are friendly, honest and dependable. I have gone to Texas and back in a van with 189000 miles on it with no troubles. I travel a lot and have never been stranded in a vehicle the have worked on for me. I wouldn't let anyone else anywhere touch one of my vehicles
