Wow i cant beleave this has happen again in 2010 my sister daughter got hit in the same place. there is a light on 8th and main and goin up main the next lite is at main and 17th there really needs to be a light at main and 12th street . i no how i felt when my niece got hit. My heart goes out to that kid family but a nuff is a nuff we need to do something befor this happen again. and i hope that this lady goes to jail because the police had two cars pulled over in the same spot and the lady was speeding when she should have been going way slower. This is really bad and if we dont stand up and say anuff is anuff. we will see this happen more and more and what is crazy is this boy was on he way home from school. Just because we live in the valley does not mean our kids dont matter. Because they do.

This was a terrible tragedy. It was not the drivers fault! The kid ran out between 2 parked cars. The driver did nothing wrong! They were not speeding and were not charged. THe police were there for another accident that had nothing to do with this incident. You can put up all the lights up that you want but accidents will always happen. We need to continue to educate our children on safety regarding crossing the street. Lets pray for all involved and stop trying to place blame were it doesn't belong. I can't imagine how the driver must feel tonight.

This is a terrible tragedy. My condolences to the family and also to the driver of the vehicle. They will be haunted with nightmares about this for the rest of their life. Trolls, please show a little respect and don't turn this into a typical topix thread.

you are a idiot i was right there when the accident happend how could you blame someone if u werent there to see it yea people speed there but on this occasion they werent there was a cop there with 2 cars from a prior accident and they were pulled on the side of the road. he didnt have his lights on. the lady safely drove by and he ran out into the road without looking. accidents happen every day kids need to be careful and cross the street safely and use sidewalks. you shouldent say comments like that because you made your self look like an idiot. you owe everyone on here a apology. your a loser

and who said our community doesnt care about the kids on the north side of town i grew up on the north side of town and never had a problem. the problem is lowlifes like you who expect the world to do everything for you as if we all owe you something. we dont owe you anything. so dont act like you get screwed im tired of the people like you that want to put the blame on everyone else. take some responsibilty for yourself and kids.

Please people get a clue, do not post on here anything about this accident unless you know the facts. If you were not there don't comment and assume things, or post gossip and hear say! This was a tragic ACCIDENT with a wonderful, loving 11 year old boy who was full of life. Have some respect for the family and friends who are grieving right now. If you feel like bitching on here or complaining please put your anger towards educating children and adults. Don't be so ignorant and PLEASE have respect!!!!

Such a terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, as are the thoughts and prayers of the families of the north side, I'm sure.

Although speed was not a factor, please slow down, especially before and after school.
