KENNEDY - A driver was transported to WCA Hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries after a head-on collision on Route 394 on Tuesday evening.

A Chevrolet Cavalier traveling westbound between Kennedy and Falconer collided with a GMC Savana van traveling eastbound at about 6 p.m., and the Jaws of Life were required to extract the driver of the Cavalier from his vehicle, according to an emergency responder on the scene.

Both drivers were transported to WCA Hospital, with the Cavalier driver's injuries appearing to be serious, according to personnel on the scene.

An investigation into the incident, conducted by New York State Police officers, is ongoing.

I am a volunteer. Driver of the cavalier is lucky to be alive.

The Jaws of Life were required to extract the driver of the Cavalier from his vehicle, according to an emergency responder on the scene.
Both drivers were taken by Alstar Ambulance crews to WCA Hospital, with the Cavalier driver's injuries appearing to be serious, according to personnel on the scene. The driver of the van was alert and walking around the scene, personnel said.
