Come on people lets be real about Ring gold. Now Ring gold has its share of problems true enough, but at the same time a lot of good came out of ring gold as well. I cant help but comment on the statements that were made. If you ask me, as bad as ring gold may seem to you all trust me it's still a lot better than some other places I know of.. I was raised in ring gold and now I'm currently residing in Dallas TX. Believe me when I tell you compared to what goes on here in Dallas Ring gold isn't as bad as you think. People we need to learn to be more appreciative. Lets lift up or town by giving back to it. lets work on a solution. How are we every going to attract business or companies to brings jobs to ring gold by tarnishing it's reputation. The problem is people have no hope in ring gold lets bring positive hope to the people. Just because some of us made it we have no right to talk down on others, especially if were not willing to come up with a solution. If you ask all of the people that talked negative what they've done to help I'm willing to bet they haven't done anything so come on people lets be positive. I'm not taking up for anyone that does wrong. I hope all that break the law is caught and punished for their crimes but at the same time I want to see people lives transformed.
to start with the people that could help the town and parish want because they make to much money in corruptions , and you can't compare a big city to ringgold the numbers are not the same , but i will say this some of the crooked crap being pulled in bienville parish wouldn't fly where there is trained people to catch what is going on . most of the time its the law breaking the law but no one will or want stop it

Your correct, my computer wouldn't let me combine the towns name. therefore I separated the ring and gold. Please forgive me I made a mistake.

i can remember going outside and walking around my block and having three or four girls that i always played with. we loved it when it was slabtown. we would walk down town and we always made sure sure we had enough money to eat and ride all the rides(yes people we used to have a fair with rides and games) we had sooooo much fun. i sure do miss those days.ringgold used to be a safe town. but we can't blame it all on john balance and mr bradley. our problems started before they came along. they just made it worse.we haven't realy had an all star police force in some time. by the way are we still looking for mr.lawson(thats when our police and town went to hell)!!!!!!! i think people just stopped caring

My fondest memory about Ringgold was when I saw it in my rear view mirror. But, before that was when the rec park was still open and all of the games I played out there. Swimming in the pool and always having activities. I remember when slabtown had a full weekend and there was a fair too. That was when Ringgold was actually a good town. And think that was before the trashy low income apts and drugs were around.

Donald when was the last time ypu came to Ringgold for more than a pass-thru or running to a store? I'm not attacking but just curious. As my name says I don't live in Ringgold and I thank God for that. Ringgold is not the ideal place to live anymore. It's full of drugs &other things and no its not like any other small town b/c most other small towns have a government that doesn't let a select grpup run it to the ground. I do agree with you though that giving it to God is the way to handle it. God is the ONLY One that can fix it now

True . I was living there in the 70's and 80's , 90' s on n off . I started kindergarten in the early 70's and it was where the old high school over by the old police station n health unit was . And remember old south side ? I had some good memories. Member the tanks? Yeah, the apartments brought some bad stuff. Different Ringgold now. But the police were always crooked . Lol.
