I lived in Salem, MA, and it was a little brazil there. Salem, Peabody, Beverly, Danvers, Ipswich, Gloucester, Everett, Malden, Arligton, Sommerville
to name a few are towns where portuguese is spoken everywhere you go. I was attending SSC by the time, and felt impressed by the huge number of brazilians, many of them illegal, living in the area. Surprised me, as well, how easy it was for them to apply for car loans, rent houses, find jobs, get free medicare, banck accounts, credit cards and even mortgages. I met a brazilian lady who bought a two-families house in Peabody Square, rented both floors to brazilians ( there were almost a dozen on each floor ) and she was paying the mortgage out of rent. And she was illegal !!! Her daughter also was attending to SSC, and she was as illegal as!!! How do they do that????

Did it ever occur to you to ask yourself why all the pandering. There is a lot of interest in keeping the status quo. This gives Democrats a chance to beat their politically correct drum and court people from socialistic countries to keep big government going. This gives big business and Republicans a golden opportunity to ignore labor laws. The losers are the very people that come here for a chance to improve their lives and the American taxpayer who is getting ripped off yet again.
