Just recently my wife and I visited Jamaica, and while touring the country side in the more rural center parts of the island on a motor scooter an odd occurance happened. When we would ride by a group of young school girls, they would run into the road and try to spank or slap my wife on her thigh. Does anyone know what this means or represents by the local Jamaicans. We loved the island and would truely like to understand what had happened, we did not converse with any of the children , but just kept on riding. Any sound explaination would be appreciated. Thank you.
