I heard that he died in December and a lot of good old memories came flooding back. He would have been about 66. I still picture him as he was when I last him, tall dark and handsome. Any information appreciated.

No one? I didn't think Talent was very big. He could sure turn heads when I knew him, looked like a young Mick Jagger but tall and dark, the bad boy in town. He was the love of my life, I never quite got over him even though I married someone else and moved on. Forty-some years flew by, a mutual friend died. I finally googled Brent Quinn Berry, only to find he had died just a few weeks before in a Medford Rehab Hospital. I shouldn't have waited so long...

I had a relationship with Quinn when I lived in Oregon in the 80s. Our son was born in 1981. He was raising a daughter, about 11 at the time, and he worked at the same hospital I did in Eugene. He lived in Eugene for years. He had a close friend named Willie Nicholas who is living back east somewhere now. I was living in California when Quinn died and hadn't seen him for years - we broke up because he was a severe alcoholic.

Hi! Thanks so much for your post. Sorry to hear about his alcoholism, but not too surprised, really. I knew his first wife Donna and his son Steven, we all are from the same small town Healdsburg in Calif, where Quinn's aunt raised him. I think there were issues even back then. He was good friends with my brother-in-law but lost touch over the years.

Good to hear from you! I'm not sure how much I can help because Quinn's background was kind of mysterious and sad. No one ever saw his parents and he never talked about them. He was raised by his elderly aunt Stella who had no children. They lived right around the corner from me but Quinn was a few years older and I didn't pay much attention then. It couldn't have been a very happy childhood for him though.
Later on when I was about 16 I became friends with his first ex-wife Donna Prater who was divorcing him, I think she caught him with another girl, which should have warned me off. lol Theirs was a rocky shotgun marriage from the start, but Donna was very nice and funny.
Anyway, I remember their adorable little blonde boy, who Donna called Steven. I think his middle name may have been Brent (after Quinn) and perhaps he used that name later on?
Stay in touch. I'll try to remember more and they send me an email when you post.
